Bleh! I never liked the early snub-nosed versions of the Me-109!

Oh yeah ... and it's even better looking in person.

What collecion would be complete without it.

The paint work in the smaller squadron details is remarkable. I remember sending my brother a NIB one the same time I bought mine. I thought he needed an "E" for the collection. I think it's about time for me to talk him into a trade or something.

Two simply must be better than one!

Those are some crazy prices for the winter 109E. Those hail from back in the days when Wal Mart was first carrying XD. I remember they were the only XD plane to ever arrive at the stores in my town - this was when the razorback P-47s and AH-1Ws were out elsewhere and WM distribution was far crappier than today. I was disappointed to only find the plane I didn't want. They sat around for a while as well. Should have picked one up

It's interesting how selected 21st items rise in value over time. I sold the one I had quite some time ago, but never realized that this plane would skyrocket in value that much!

There are a handfull of the older planes that should fetch a pretty penny now. Kinda makes you appreciate the older birds in the collection a little more now as the hobby matures.

Correct, Teamski's pictures show the Bf-109G......*

Nonetheless, the scheme is still nifty. Am seeking one, too (along with the Helmut Wick Richthofen Geschwader)
