New Figures Found!

I found them at the Long Island Old Country Road Walmart!

There were 2 types of Germans, and I think 3 types of Americans, one of them had some papers in his hand.

Is this the first find?

There were 2 whole racks as of yesterday, I did not buy any.

Good Luck finding them!

It won't be official until you buy them, photograph them, and then post the results here. :D

Took the wife to Amish country today and stopped at a WM in Wadsworth, Ohio. I FOUND TWO D-DAY FIGURES!!!!! I almost had a fricken heart attack as I NEVER find any XD especially NEW ONES! I found and bought the D-Day Tank Gunner Pvt. Kevin "Scribe" Debree and Sgt. Jesse "Wildman" James. NO OTHER D-Day figures there-and I LOOKED!!! AND asked, but nothing. This store had ALOT of 32 XD and an end cap of the #13 Hanomags and US Half track-not the twin guns one.
Sorry, but no pics as I have no digital camera-I seem to spend all my money on XD :D
On the back of these D-Day figure packages are pictures of 15 more new figures, six of which are Germans.
So yes, they are out there, and I'll probably NOT SEE THEM in my area....

If the Amish kids like XD, then I'm taking a road trip to Lancaster, Pa!
I hope that I beat them to it. Great to hear that the new figures are on the East Coast. :D :D

Seems like the Amish kids don't like the 'tank guys' :D maybe if the tankers were 'buggy' guys...
Wonder when the D-Day figures were put on the shelf there? You would think that if it was someone HERE who bought them all, they would've posted the info...hmmm...those figures must've been purchased by...............'The Others'......

Oh man, and here I just recovered from hunting for the new armor!

Six Germans! The Walmarts in my AO seem to be better with stocking the figures than they are with vehicles so maybe it won't be so painful.

I found them in PA today. 2 different Germans and 4 different US. Don't rememebr the names at the moment, I'll post later with pics. They had 2 of each figure on the peg, which filled it up. I assume they are being released in waves, not as one big group of 15.

Must be nice--my Walmart has been sitting on the same case of S1 marines since they came out, with a couple Dirk Pitt figures thrown in for good measure. My only hope is that they have gone from about 8 pegs worth to less than 2... So maybe in another 2-3 years, they will reorder.

Better be careful with what you wish for, 7thva--according to the Book of Walton 9:15, "Thou shalt not suffer a metropolitan area to remain free of Walmart." So keep an eye in the mail for the notice of property seizures for the betterment of the community in general...

As promised, here are the guys I found:

Sgt Otto Vilndorff (Wermacht) - nice figure but has a shovel with no hole to plug it into. Comes with two helmets.
Pvt Fritzen Osternoh (Parade dress) - nice as well, soft cap is tight on head. Needs some gear.
Pvt Frank "Wheeler" Hodges - neck extends, loads of gear, has the tiniest knife I have ever seen, be careful when opening him up. Helmet doesn't stay on at all.
Pvt Johnny "Light Fingers" Jones - good basic US figure, reminiscent of Series 1 but more posable.
Pvt Kevin "Scribe" Debree - loads of gear, has a axe for variety. Tankers have two holters, one with pistol in, one out. Also have extra hole on body, so I put both holsters on him.
Sgt Jesse "Wildman" James - removable tank helmet. The map doesn't stay in his hand real well.

I like the look of those US tankers and especially the Germans :D

Hopefully these will get across the country in a timely manner... Things that appear at Wal Marts in the east seem to take months to go west, whereas they tend to go much faster in the other direction for what ever reason

Nice figures! Thanks for sharing those pictures!

The Camo shmock of this german infantry guy is not in the camo pattern I've expected. I thougt he would come in "Erbsentarn" or "Eichenlaub", but what kind of camo pattern is this?

I found them at Rockawy Walmart NJ. I hate the camo on the German D-Day Wehrmacht. It is totaly wrong. Roy should be a shamed of him self. So much for historical accuracy. They should have done that figure in the 44 dot pattern or in a palm tree camo smock with Italian camo pants.

It is a fantasy camo pattern. The Germans had no such pattern. Who is doing the research at 21st C?

Maybe we don't have to wait so long before a better repaint version of this figure will be released.
I'm with you guys - it's a beautiful sculpt, but the camo pattern sucks (sorry). There were so many damn cool camo styles, I see no reason for doing a fantasy camo. This camo smock wasn't a good item for saving paint job costs. IMHO the Paratroopers were the best quality figures and paint jobs yet. The paint jobs and quality of this new wave doesn't seem to be close to them.

PS: Can someone please post a good pic of the card back of these figures? I think it's strange that there are 15 figures on it. I thought the new wave would be 18 figures? And there should be 1 german soldier that we don't know yet.

Til someone posts a picture, here are the names of the Germans on the back of the package: Pvt. Joseph Dieffenbach, Capt. William Newwnhaus, Sgt. Otto Wilndorff, Pvt. Fritzen Osternoh, Lt. Ludwick Odheim and Pvt. Hugo Kemnett.
