Whats the deal, NO MORE ARMOR??

Are there any plans that 21st will be releasing any new armor in the near future? Aside from German, perhaps, US,Russian,British......either WW2 or modern....
It looks as if it came to a sudden halt. Obviously the aircraft end of their line is their bread and butter, but I hope we will see some new armor here soon.

I believe a KT is in our future from 21C.

Does not help us Allied fans at all. Sure would like to see Admiral chime in with some armor after seeing their Me-262.......what a great deal would that be for us..wow.

How abot a T-34? or a M-24? or M-26?, or be still my heart..a M-19 Duster or a Priest?

Did they not release 4 new pieces? Plus the Pak 40 and soon the Pak 40 hanomag? I don't think we're going to go from nothing to new tanks every month...but I do think the strong support for the recent releases bodes well for us groundpounders.

I think two years ago the situation was worse. Only the Panzer IV was announced and there wasn't anything else on schedule. I'm very happy about the PAK 40 and the 4 "new" halftracks now.
Modified halftracks are much better than 0 new armor. But now I hope we don't have to wait another 2 years before we see some new stuff. I would be happy about any new armor, because I'm not into planes.

with the way armour has been over the last six years be glad for whatever we get. Recently we've seen 4 great new halftracks, the pak and a short barreled version of the Pz IV come out. Not bad.

There is supposed to be a King Tiger in the works and i'm hopeful that will be released in the first half of next year. Beyond that, who knows but that's really a better list than the airplane releases from 21c of late (just the Mig and F-86). PLUS a pile of new figures immenant. Not bad at all.

There are some good 1/16 armour choices around if you're not too fussy on exactness of scale. T-34/85, Pershing, Panzer III soon and a Leopard II. All those are fairly affordable.

Let's not give the AC guys anything to complain about...3 totally new AC in the last 6 months of the year ain't bad. Add to that about a half dozen repaints in 06 and I don't think 21C is slacking in the AC dept. either. Now figures, I'm always willing to cry for.. :P

My first choices for an "other than German" XD tank would be a US Pershing or a Russian T-34.

To sort of sum up what others have indicated in the above posts, 21c armor most certainly is not dead :D Within 2006 alone, here's what we've gotten, though in no particular order:

R/C Panzer IV H - Europanzer repaint
R/C M-113 - NATO repaint
R/C Panzer IV D
M151 Mutt (w/tow missile)
M151 Navy Seal Tac. Vehicle
M3A3 Halftrack - repaint
SDK-251 Hannomag - repaint
M-48 Patton
M-16 Halftrack
Stuka zu Fuss Hannomag
Panzerpioneerwagen Hannomag
Pak-40 cannon

I hope I'm not forgetting anything, but that's at least 12 ground vehicles we got this year in the 21c XD series alone. Only four were completely new, but the M-48 and M151s might as well have been new, since they had been rare before the WM re-release. There are at least two more new armored vehicles slated for 2007 (according to what we have gleaned from 21c) and probably more repaints. Who knows what else may be down the pipeline

I did not, but I still might considering the great price you found. I went back to the discussion on this months ago and both you and TTT noted how it appeared too big to fit in. I am less strict about scale when it comes to important pieces (T-34, 88mm, Trucks..) so I am still willing to budge on that issue.
I also saw that it takes 16 AA batts to run (which I don't plan to do much anyway) and I assume that is the only way to move the turret/gun, like the 21C RC Panzer? If you can move the turret and tracks w/o the electronics it would be a huge plus in my book. Anybody know?

Hmmm - TKO spoke of 2 entirely new vehicles he knows and both would be released in early 2007. In a later posting TKO said, that both would be planes. Have I overlooked something? I know these King Tiger theories, but, to be honest, these rumors were also around 2 years ago and nothing happend so far.

But I don't want to complain about something. As I said before: I'm very happy about the armor 21st has released this year. The halftrack variations and the entirly new PAK 40 are damn cool! (but 2-3 new armor pieces in one year would be even cooler. I like all the repaints and variations, but I think the new stuff is the most exciting  )

If you do decide to start on 1/16 there are several vehicles not available in 1/18:

Jeep "calliepe" rocket launcher
Chevy RAF fire engine
Chevy US Army fire engine (very rare)
Ford USN Ford Island stakeside
USMC GMC dumptruck
US Army D-6(?) dozer

as well are those previously mentioned.

All together they deserve their own wall which minimizes the size difference.

You can roll the wheels/tracks just fine without turning it on. And as for the turret/gun, You can simple snip the wires and remove the turret rotation motor so you can freely swivel the turret.

But for the barrel, you can't move it up or down without the using the remote control.

There is going to be some hella cool stuff for gound guys in 07! So don't throw flak at us aircraft guys!!!

Trust me in late December some of the veils of secrecy will be lifted and at the risk of building things up I feel safe to say that many ground pounders will freak out!

For fellow 1:18 wingnuts... 07 looks like another fun year as well. One piece of advise though- If you have been holding off on the 1:32 scale aircraft you had better rethink your position. Something is coming that will change the way you EVER looked at 1:32! scale!

I recently got the T-34 from a fellow board member. With a little weathering it looks great. The sound makes when rotating the turret sounds like a blender though. That does not bother me as it is most likely going to be on static display.
If you just have to have a T-34, you can't beat this one for the price.

Excellent news for us 'ground guys'! Can't wait to hear it, TKO! A BIG tip of the helmet to 21C for ALL the armor we got this past year!!
Even though I've been frustrated as I couldn't find any of it at my local WM's, I'm VERY HAPPY that 21C has provided it all to the Online Shops!!

Found this at the FOV site, looks pretty cool and not excessively complicated, which is a good thing IMO because I'm told that some wargaming systems are mind boggling in their level of complexity. Anyway, I went so far as to print out the gaming cards in Hi-res on glossy photo stock, and they look great, but I haven't actually tried the game itself, although I will eventually. This will work with basically any scale (or brand of model), but is best suited to the smaller scales like 1/32nd and 1/72nd because of space considerations, but on the other hand if you've got a garage floor sized area under roof and a truckload of XD vehicles and accessories, man what a wargame you could have 8)
