Is this a 21st plane or bbi? Looks like a 21st.

Now let me get this straight. The tuskegee Mustang is not on back order, its not on pre-order but it IS avalible right? If it is I might consider getting one even though I also said I wouldnt get another Mustang. I love the markings and it IS a Mustang that comes from a fighter group that never lost s single bomber to enemy action in WW 2. To me that says alot. Since historic aviation is so close to my house I'll have to give them a call to see if its really avalible right now or not. Saves me shipping.

21C plane.
The next bbi Stang is Emerson's P-51D. Nice scheme but not nearly as interesting imo.

Wow, that pilots face is awesome. Very real looking. And that is a great looking Mustang. Good job 21st Century.

Are you sure it's from 21st? Look at the pilot - he looks realistic and the rest of the accessories on the head cover, goggles and mask are detailed. I'm not convinced.

I'm not convinced either.
Looks like BBI's, due to the landing gear. Either way, I'm extremely pleased that this paint scheme is being offered.

Guys, I'm pretty sure.
A) The paint master is usually not the model itself (explains gear).
B) TKO mentions he had heard of it in the DFTS thread
C) Militarytoyshop has it as a 21C pre-order:

Very nice plane and awesome pilot sculpt! The Tuskegee airmen were a fearsome bunch feared by the Germans.

Hey Guys,
This will be a 21st Century P-51. The pictures they supplied us look as if its a 1:48 paint master. Hopefully this one comes with gun lockers and updated prop.
We shall see. Great looking scheme though!!

Ok, then next question - did they clear up the canopy glass? That's my only complaint concerning their aircraft. The head sculpts are another matter I've touched upon perhaps too many times and I'll leave it at that. Not to rehash arguments but if they'd just straighten out the prop and clear up the glass then it's an ok plane by me. Additional cudos for choice regarding paint scheme.

That’s a fantastic paint scheme with tons of history. I can’t pass this one up.

If it's 21st OR bbi, I'm certain the headsculpt is not the finished 1:18 model but a sculpt master, larger than 1:18. It has too much detail and texture to be a production version.
Backordered?

Bad news dudes....I just called and the Tuskegee P-51 is NOT due for delivery until the first week in December. Historic Aviation will gladly put you on the pre-order list though.....?
And don't get too excited if you see the 21C MiG-15bis (S3) and "Mich's Sqwitch" F-86 up for sale either. They are not due to arrive until mid November to mid December. Couldn't they at least put "pre-order" somewhere that we could see?

That's not so bad. Its only two or three weeks from now.

It is a 21C Stang. Roy told me about this one a couple of months ago. I didn't expect to see it so soon though! Looks like one more plane to add to the collection.

Is this plane going to be available at Wal-Mart, or is it going to be online only?

I understand that it was commisioned by Historic Aviation, which begs the question, how did Military Toy Shop get involved. Very nice ship, still mulling over getting one, it'll be my fourth, after "Hurry Home Honey" and the two Austrailian repaints, so it's not an easy decision.

Afet much thought I'm gonna pass on this new Mustang. Yes I love the paint scheme but I have to keep some room open for other Mustangs that will be coming out. The 2 that I want the most is Big Beautiful Doll with the opening gun bays and the 4 For Victory Mustang, which I hope we will hear about soon. Plus I have to keep alot of space open for the Avenger which I will be getting one soon (keeps fingers crossed).
Very nice Mustang though I will say that.

Not a must buy, but certainly an I would like to have it. Let's see how much money the in-laws give me for the birthday.

Debating on preordering this one from HA, I see now that Military Toy Shop gives credit to Historic Aviation for "commissioning" this scheme. Hmm...

Still wonder if it shows at WM or not...

I have a feeling WM will have this - 21st Century has to make money somehow.

Yes, otherwise, there wouldn't be any historical significance.
