WHats Next?

Post by CW4USARMY » Sun Nov 05, 2006 4:10 pm

Now that the 21st Avenger, F-86 and Mig are out, and that the Admiral Me-262 is right around the corner, does anybody remember what is coming next? (besides the bbi Hellcat?) I dont rmemeber if anything has been mentioned as of yet. Just curious as to how long the next dry spell will be

Wow! Just noticed that my old screen name is back! Guess you can disregard the Wings&Armor name (I think) :?:

I think you've named them all.....that have been "officially" announced. I'm still keeping hope alive that we'll be seeing some sign of an A-10 Warthog in 1/18 scale. Dry spells can be ok as long as they end with news like the Hellcat was.... :D

There was also suppossed to be a 21C 262 this year but I don't know what happened to that. With the detail on 21C Jet offerings I was pretty psyched to see how it would come out but with no pics as of November it is looking more like an 07 release...no surprise really..

21st had mentioned a A6M3 Zero, but with the BBI offering, I doubt we will ever see it.

BBi must have a mole at 21st.

I'm with you STUKA. I have yet to see a BBI Zero either and it makes me mad in a way because my Bunker Hill Corsair needs something to shoot at. But heck I have yet to see an Avenger either.

1/18th Bombers?

Post by Panther F » Fri Nov 10, 2006 8:11 am

I think that the B25 would make an exceptional item for any collector! I know the 17 and the 29 are a bit more popular, but the B25 wasn't any stranger and it's size would keep it close in an afordable price range like the Avenger.

Oh well, just thinking out loud.

There is indeed a 21c me-262 that is in the works. In fact I am a little surprised that we have not seen pictures of it yet. I know it is pretty deep into production. While I really doubt we will see it in 2006. Though a 2007 delivery is certain!

I know of 2 more aircraft in 1:18 scale from 21st however they are part of the 07 planning and at this time are considered top secret. You guys will get the scoop soon though.

TKO,

You stated " 2 more aircraft in 1:18 scale from 21st"

Without letting the birds out of the bag, can you say if they are new models or repaints?
The sign of a great model is that one’s eye is not drawn to any one feature, yet one can study it for hours and continually find something new.

it would be awesome but somehow i don't trust WM's computer system all that much. Could have meant mosquito repellant or mosquito netting.

I think i'll wait and see on that one.

Maybe 1/32, but no 1/18 twin engine mosquito will be $40.

Lets see AT mentioned 3 new planes, new stuff from 21C in 2007 and maybe , wait BBI said 3 new planes as well.

Repaints I'm sure aren't considered "new" productions.

I'm gonna have to get one of those PODS to hold all the toys!

Perhaps an XD themed POD is the works? Maybe with pre-installed ceiling hooks and shelves. They gotta know we are running out of room, it's the next logical step! Series 1 will be an urban camo POD.

To bad they would only sell them at WalMart! :P

Something that I could use with my SEAL teams would by nice!
I'm in agreement with you on that one..but something tells me not to get to get your hopes up. Seems like marketing in general lets customers' input in one ear and out the other. Typical. Apparently modern stuff isn't lucrative much less popular but maybe I need stop smoking the ganga.

I feel the same about the modern side of things. I'd love to see more modern subjects as well. Maybe one day we'll see in 1/18 scale an A-10, F-4, F-14, Mig-29, Mig-21, Mil-24 Hind, Lynx, M109, Leopard, and the list goes on..................until then I guess we'll just have to keep waiting, praying, and asking no matter how discouraging it gets sometimes.

I think the next thing I want to see is an M7 Priest. I am loving the 32X version and I wish it were 1/18.

My heart just skipped a few beats after I read your post, but I am not getting my hopes up. Would be cool to see one. However, I would be the first one ripping it out of the hands of some snot nosed kid…LOL
