Out Of All Your 1/18th WW 2 Planes.........................

Post by MightyMustang » Thu Nov 02, 2006 8:29 am

Which is the one you absolutely wouldnt part with? Me? I love all my 1/18th planes but if I had to get rid of them and only keep one it would be the BBI Marines Dream F4U. I get the most comments about this bent winged beauty. The paint scheme, the detail you name it my freinds and some of my family members just love it. I brought it to a hobby gathering just to show it off and I had 3 offers from people to buy it and still I wouldnt part with it. And the offers were pretty good too.

So what planes wouldnt you part with? And why. Let me know guys because I'm interested in hearing your comments.

 MM, you are like me; you can never decide which is your fav. That's why I usually avoid threads like this and all of the below - b/c I don't think I could pick just one...

It would be a toss-up between my RAF P-40, and my Tropical 109. I'd probably hang on to the P-40, since I've found it to be a hell of a lot more difficult to locate than the 109.

As far as my WW2 planes, its my Marines Dream BBI Corsair. I love the look of this model, and it is a keeper for sure. :D

FW-190D-9 for me.

I find it as the most beautiful plane (that there is a model of), the Do-335 is in my opinon the most beautiful plane ever made. The BF-109G-6 or K models are in my 3rd place :D

p-38 Haleakula. The dragon design on the booms are great. Is currently the most valuable 1/18 plane on Ebay, also.

This is a tough one, but I will pick my Hurry Home Honey P-51D, followed by the Fw-190D JV44/candy stripe.

WHAT? Mighty Mustang...... with no Mustang?

Seriously, I agree, the bbi Corsair would be hard to part with. But I just dont think I could do without my Avenger. No, maybe my Hornets. Well, I do love my P.H. Zero. Er, how about my..... eh, never mind. :|

I'd have to agree with MM that it would be my BBI "Marine's Dream" Corsair. There's just something about that plane that I like! Second would be the 21c silver F-104 and perhaps 3rd the BBI F-16. These threads are a killer as I like all my 1:18 planes. My Avenger would top the list, but the open screw-holes bump it down...

I would have to say my 1:18 A-10 from 21st 2nd my Mig-29 from AT, 3rd the Bbi F-14,

Bbi, 21st, and AT now have Collectors versions that cost a bit more but are worth it.

a close 4th would be this in 1:18 scale from 21st Collectors versions
