MIG DOWN, MIG DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know, I guess it's bound to happen sometime after hanging 15 or so
planes in the basement-

My Jolly Roger was hanging fine and a silent witness to what transpired next. With brilliance and skill unbeknownst to mere mortals; I released the wrong fishing line I was measuriing to tie- Like they say,it was all slow motion with an eternity to realize I could'nt yell repeatedly "OHMYGOD" a couple of dozen times- the family is asleep upstairs. Just the brittle crashing of the mig against the cold, merciless concrete and the ensuing silence as I sought out every piece on the floor in about a tenth of a second.

Y'all will love this sh.t; every single piece of this plane excepting the canopy and the wheels came apart. I only picked up one or two at a time, they were all so spread apart...

Actually, this is the great part-- every part went back together as expected- (one wingtip had to be reglued and the flap reinserted)..

I thought it was sturdy when I first got it; now can almost believe it when the box says for ages 5 and up!!!!!!!!!

Think your Jolly Roger took a cheap shot when you blinked.

Ain't it just like those N. Korean (umm Russian?) pilots to ride a losing battle into the floor without ejecting?

You've got to love the 21c engineering. The fact (at least with the jets) that the planes dissassemble into all the parts seems to make them less-likely actually break when they fall. I've had my F-104 take a dive, and the fact that it broke into its parts rather than snapping elsewhere saved the plane!

My dad used to tell me, "There is no damn way Koreans flew those Migs. We were trying to train the Southern ones and most of them wound up as runway pizza. Besides, on my 3rd kill I got so close to the guy I saw his blue eyes."
