Price of a Spitfire?
The Spits never were on the shelves here, and I missed ever finding one. Now, they are going for around $45 plus shipping on e-bay, making the total $60 or so. Does everyone consider this a fair price - I wonder if I should buy now, or will waiting longer just see the prices go higher??
Well, I don’t think you can honestly add in the shipping charge. Unfortunately that’s just the nature of the beast. If you can’t find it locally you have to have it shipped. 45$ for a Spit that went for $40 on the shelf doesn’t seem that bad. You might be able to find a better deal on shipping but that all depends on the seller and the size of the box they ship it in. In all probably not too bad of a deal. What paint scheme is it? If it’s the D-day Spit then that is a great deal.
spit for $43 plus shipping
Corey has the ZPA for a good deal (personal fave, goes great with Galland 109). The spit has great shape, just looks right.

Just my two cents worth.
I don't like overpriced shipping charges anymore than the next guy, but I'm considering going to a fixed price shipping charge after being nickeled, dimed, and argued to death over every item.
I even had someone back out of a $100+ deal over a couple of dollars difference between what he thought the shipping SHOULD be and what it actually turned out to be (this AFTER I packed loose items inside another item to save weight).

Gunners right! As a businessman trying to make a buck I dont think its unreasonable to add a $1.00 or $2.00 on shipping to compensate me for my time, packing supplies and drive time to the post office but I've lost a few deals over just that!
Fair means fair for the buyer and the seller. Just my 2 cents.
