Ok, we have seen XD stashed all over Walmart, tucked here and there. You've searched everywhere for your fix. Where do you think you will find your XD stocked? You make the call!!

WM make my Christmas shopping a breeze.
I can find my XD and a nice little Santa nighty for the wife all in the same place!

Where will we find our XD next? Next to the grills and lawnmowers?

It really depends. Sometimes the XD that doesn't sell well is in some sort of misc. toy isle, near the back and one isle over from the sproting goods (hence my vote). Its also been found at times in the most logical spot - with the toy and RC cars. 32x Cold Steel products (when carried) are usually here as well. The 32x models are in the model section. 21c products have occasionally been spotted along the rear wall.

If only for the old days at TRU where military toys were kept in one section and you had all repaints of every aircraft there! To its credit, however, I think Wal Mart has improved their distribution to an extent over what it was like at this time last year.

Except to Southern California :-P We still get left out.

Usually it's with the RC items or near the action figures for me... I have found them a few times on top of other toy isle shelves (the very hard to reach top). I voted the Intimate Apparel as I think that MUST be where they are hiding at all SoCal stores... and all the guys are just too afraid to go over there and see.

I didn't vote in this poll. :?: I've got 3 walmarts in my AO, 2 NEVER stocked 21st porducts and the 3rd which I was in last week had a CIA chopper thats it! Distribution may be getting better in some parts of the country but not in my neck of the woods. Never got the FW 190's and never saw the P 47's in any Walmart on Long Island. You know whats ironic about the P 47's, during WWII they were made here on Long Island in Farmingdale 5min. from my house and 5min. from there is a walmart. I'll get my stuff online to hell with walfart.

XD at Walmart

 To bad I can't vote since the 2 small Walmarts within 10 miles don't carry 1/18 or 1/32. I do have some friends who are able to pick up a limited number of items for me. Bob

Garden isle anyone?

Post by CW4USARMY » Wed Dec 15, 2004 5:10 pm

I stopped at a Walmart in Mississippi while passing through during one of my trips. I looked in the toy section for any XD and could not find any. I stopped a toy employee who was stocking shelves and asked if they had any of the large XD planes. She said they didnt have anymore. As I was walking out the back door (Garden area) I just happened to look up on a shelf against the back wall in the garden section and they had at least 20 XD aircraft. The amazing thing is that most were in the red motorworks boxes from last year!! (P47s) Looks like they put them up there and forgot all about them!

My walmarts lately seem to get them near or even on the boardgame isles. Pretty cool! considering that they used to be right by the summer pool items, and before that the pet isle right beside puppy chow on the overstock shelf. Then there was my favorite, the garden hose area. but that was summer. I thinking that this is a retailing idea to have us become more familiar with the other areas of the store. Maybe they think we will impulse shop for spare tires, cheese, puppychow, boardgames, and soundslike womens underwear as well...
