Wow check out this E-Bay find, Item number: 320014210829. Its a US halftrack and the customizing touch is the guy just rubbed dirt on it, honest to God, is that killer or what?

Yea, I posted the link to this in the BST forum this morning. I think its a fellow board members custom. I believe it belongs to the Catman.

I was going to open a custom 1:18 business.. It's pretty simple. mail me your toy and I will throw a bucket of dirt on it then send it back to you for only 100.00 per item!

-just kidding!
That custom job is pretty funny though. great find!

Now I feel bad

You ended it early because we were poking fun at it. Really catman, it is all about the pictures and description. The last thing you want is some pissed off buyer coming back on you and ruining your perfect eBay feedback.

Catman if you are going to do it you need to spray some flat clear acrylic on it to lock the dirt in.

I have to say that the M3 looks more rugged and battle-torn than any of my dozen or so...

Agreed, just blow off the loose dirt and spray some dull coat on it and call it a day.

I sure wish guys would stop over using the word "mint".
100% mint means unaltered, exactly as it left the factory, complete and packaged for retail.
if you rub dirt all over it, it SURELY isn't MINT. Stick with custom, or modified.

Agreed, spray some Testors dullcote over the mud and snow so it doesn't float away and you should be good to go. You may want to take it outside and take pictures of it in the sun or at least the shade. It will look better in natural light, rather than a camera flash . I know from many years of experience (well maybe a year).

Give catman a break! After all, I think Aferguson said he's only 12 years old...and he has his own ebay business...even though I think you have to be at least 18...but what do I know....

Pretty harsh, I hope Catman isn't really a 12 yo. That could crush this kids future model making career.

I wasn't ripping on catman but jabbing at a very good point that SCvideoman said about the chronic mis-use of the word "mint" - Causes a lot of confusion to the uninformed and I just found it funny.

I could not paint worth a crap when I was
12. Don't sweat it catman . Keep painting and your technique will steadily improve with time. When you start at the bottom there is only one way to go. Up!

And not to mention the fear people would have buying from a 12 year old on ebay
