Sooo,,,,is that a bad thing???? :D
Perhaps if you make a plane only a collector would want and no one else can afford. I think collectors are only 5 to 10% of the buying public.

I think for 150 USD you could hve a nicely detailed aircraft that’s not to over kill in detail.

I have heard from some of the modelers in my AO that a few Japanese model companies are looking to make highly detailed 1:18 aircraft kits that are made out of the same plastic and will feature Pre-painted and semi finished parts, metal landing gear, detailed cockpits and ton of working parts. And will be affordable in price and that WM will carry them. That’s all I know.

I would like to know more about it also

On of the modeling guys in my AO said he was unimpressed with the 1:18 aircraft that was out there, and advised me to wait on customizing my F-18, since there would be one coming. I asked him where he got the Information from and he stated that he was at model a convection in New York awhile back and spoke with a representative of one of the Japanese model companies.
He said al he wanted to know was what was being planed in 1:48 scale, and the representative told him that they have been some time now looking in to the 1:18 scale. This was apparently due to the fact that many younger teenagers are not interested in making no-working models, and seen the successes that 21c and Bbi had in there 1:18 line up of aircraft and vehicles.

I would love to know more about this and I am wondering if any one else have hard or seen any thing about this. One another note I am also a skeptical person by trait and I will believe it when it is either being sold on Badcat aviation, Wal-Mart.

Yeah, and at what price? I won't pay any more than I currently am for new planes.

I certainly would like to have more info on this development. It could prove to be very interesting. Or, it could prove to be a flop that only works out to be a good present for the nephew---think New Ray's 1/48 screw together planes here.

hmm......i thought we had some all new piece of armour coming, which i assumed was the King Tiger.

Another halftrack rework is a surprise. I'm guessing it's a Hanomag with pak 40, since 21 is also doing the pak 40.

this question could be addressed to Roy Sutherland, as he's very big into the whole model building community(as well as working for 21st), and would be more "in the know" perhaps? There had been mention made a couple years ago, I believe coming out of Tamiyacon, where a rep was asked what the likelyhood of doing a large scale kit (larger than 24th and 32nd) would be, and the answer was , the company was looking into it. Tamiya does indeed sell "finished" models under the Master Works name, and they've got a 32nd Thunderbird F-16 either coming out, or currently available in Asia? Having talked with folks that work for Tamiya and Hasegawa, they claim for the price said kit(s) would be, there simply wouldn't be enough interest, now as to whether or not thats true, is anyones guess, but theres been no "official" word from those companies, at least to my knowledge.

I'm wondering if the new hafltrack will be a US version with Howitzer cannon. That would be neat.

Are they gonna offer any new carded pilots? I've got at least one of the pilots that 21st offers (all WWII). I know they've built the F-104 and so will they offer this as an individual item as well? Are the pilots included in the new Avenger the same as those in aircraft such as the Corsair or are these new?

I would really like a 251/22, but i think it's going to be American.
2 new Hanomags, 2 new M3's I think.

What I would REALLY like is the Sdkfz 251/21 Flakpanzerwagon

A Sd Kfz 251/21 would be awesome. I would also like to see a Sd Kfz 251/10. Plus it would give us another Pak gun. I don't really know of any other cool looking Us halftrack version other than the 75mm Gun Motor Carriage. They was many cool version of the SD Kfz 251, including some of the late war versions with the IR equipment.

It has got to be the 251/22..... It makes sense since the 1:18 PAK 40 is already on the way, making this version a no-brainer.....

HOW ABOUT SOMETHING BESIDES A HALFTRACK! :? I hate to sound down on 21C but I am not too impressed with the "Big summer" of new releases :( I do like the PAK. Everything else is just a re-released item with some extras parts attached. Anything new coming out?

Well, I think it will be a US Halftrack to even things up, instead of releasing three new German variants ond only one US.

I guess I did forgot about the F86, Mig, and the Avenger, but they had been on the boards for a while.

Now don't get me wrong, I _love_ halftracks and hanomags! But... it sure would be nice to see some new armor or a totally new vehicle (open blitz, greyhound, etc..).

On the positive side, if the new trend is to totally exhaust a chasis by rearranging armament, wheel count and paint color then that could produce some pretty interesting results should they try that trick on the various panzer frames.

Panzer 3 chasis was also used on the Stug III
Panzer 4 chasis was used for the Stug IV, Brumbar, and about a zillion other things:
