got a question with the power team weapos, i have a lot of PTE figures, and the accesories are great, but the plastic of the guns tends to bend,
anyone who owns PTE figs will know what im talking about, so the question is how do you straighten weapons out,
flatten in a book, try to melt a little, enough to make it pliable then hold it in a straight position til it cools or what?

I'd stick it in hot water for a few minutes. I don't have any PTE weapons, but that trick has worked for BBI and 21c guns. Get the water to steaming hot, or boiling using a sink, microwave, or kettle. Use tweesers to dunk the piece in the hot water for a minute or two, depending on how hard the plastic is, or how severe the bend. Take out the piece, push it into shape and hold it there for a minute or two so it can cool. That trick has worked very well for me in any number of plastic-bending cases.
Hot water is the best method

I have had two problems with the PTE weapons..
First.. The hard plastic weapons like the 50 cal on the tank are warped.. for these I have had alot of success with the hot water method.. I boil water in the kettle, poor it in a bowl and let it cool for 5 minutes, then soak the warped weapons for 2 minutes. When they come out I straighten them and leave them to dry..
Secondly, some of the weapons are made of very soft rubbery material.. these weapons go in the scrap bin.. they just warp like rubber bands.. luckily there are not many of them and PTE provides alot of spares in some of their kits.

guys,
you may want to try the eversparkle weapons that come in their 1/18 command bunker sets....the weapons a pretty good and solid.
in regards to the PTE weapons, I use them a lot because they offer more options than the bbi ones...plus the PTE SAW is more accurate in size....also I got tired of all the M203's....hahhahaha
bbi needs new weapons and to scale.
take care,

G'day All
I use the hot water method as well, but once the desired shape has been achieved I rapidly cool the item in cold water.
Doing this tends to prevent the plastics memory effect which can cause the warpage to return over time.
Always good to learn something new..
