Near Fatal bbi F-18 incident!

Post by Teamski » Fri Jul 28, 2006 8:49 am

I just got back from a 6 week TDY and looked over some of the mishaps that happened while I was away. I never have a problem when I am home.

My F-86 rolled off my desk, cracking the canopy and destroying the windshield. I haven't recieved the replacements from Admiral Toys, even with $9.50 they charged for shipping  , hehehehe. I hope I get them soon!!!

My F-18 was bumped off the top of my monitor, however it didn't sustain any damage. However, my wife wasn't sure how I had the gear supported, so we tried over the phone to reposition the wood chocks I used to support it. She missed one and with the heat we have here, the plane settled onto the gear, distorting them grotestly. I mean bad! I was pissed. So, I retracted the gear and set the plane on the floor to deal with the issue later. The next day, I decided to extend the gear to look them over of course expecting the worst. To my absolute shock, they returned to their orginal position!! Obviously, the shape of the wheel well returned them to their original shape. So, the soft plastic saved itself! Whew!!

My 1.5 ton truck was kicked and some damage to it resulted. Nothing that couldn't be fixed.

You just can't leave anything without it breaking.....

OK let's get this straight, you have a plastic model sitting on top of your computer monitor that is ON? That generates a lot of hot air and heat?

Why is it they always say to some one else, that you are playing with toys, when all you are doing is trying to set up your display of your 1:18 scale military replicas?

I keep saying to her that the are not toys.

Btw way if they go missing check the garbage. LOL

Teamski,

I will check on the status of your canopy. I will have someone send you a traking number.

We sent you an entire new fuselage. That is why shipping cost so much. We have tried to get the front canopy piece off the models in the past to no avail. Much easier to send a new fuselage.

Regards,
Jason

Look at that service. It makes me proud to see an American firm that still does an honest business.
