1932 Maybach Staff Car driver fit.

Post by hotrodrock » Thu Jul 27, 2006 8:43 am

I've been looking at the 1/18 Maybach staff cars on ebay. They look really nice but I read a post here a while back that said none of the 1/18 figures would fit as a driver. Does anyone have one of these cars that they have tried some of the newer figures which might have better articulation? Some of the photos on ebay show German officers standing around the car and it looks really sharp but I'm not sure I want one (they are fairly expensive) if no officers could be made to sit in it.

Buy one online (not ebay) and they are about $25 - $35. Even if you have to "break some legs" to get a guy to fit it is not so bad.

I'll second the recommendation to shop someplace other than Ebay. The price differences are astounding. I also advocate amputation in order to get a driver to fit.

Good luck.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. No use being a damn fool about it.

Try Motormint.com. They sell many of these vehicles. Also, sometimes just removing the boots/feet from the figures make them just right for the tight squeeze situations...

Hi guy's,
I hate any kind of vehicle that the driver don't fit, I have sold several of these cars on e-bay, But each one has the seats and interior customized so that the Driver and passenger's fit without having to remove feet, legs, or break anything, (easy in -- Easy out), :D When you see one of these cars listed on e-bay-- E-mail the seller and ask them (Does a 1/18 figure fit without having to break or remove anything) Chances are you won't even get a reply,
I'm sure that there have been several buyer's that were pissed  when they spent big bucks on one of these cars only to find out the figures won't fit, so be careful and always ask before you buy.
