MARVEL LEGENDS SHOWDOWN SETS (1:18) - New wave at TRU now.

Post by Sgt. Fury » Thu Jul 20, 2006 4:30 pm

Starter Sets
Magneto vs. Colossus
Mr. Fantastic vs. Moleman (two versions of Mr. Fantastic's uniform available - blue & white and blue & black.
Better detail, fit and paint than previous waves. Great articulation. Moleman is actually 3" high and Colossus is about 4-1/2" high. Still $14.99 a set.

Yes these are fun figs! 'Bout time they did them in OUR scale! Whoo Hoo!

Pro's - great scupts, great articulatoin...although Wolv has no wrist artiulation. Nice chrome shine on Colossus. Mag's pose and cape.

Con's - Mag's head seems too small. But not deal breaker.Colossus' right fist has a hole in it! (has something to do with the game.) Colossus' left hand is in a weird grasping pose.

I wish they were just figures and not attached with this game play stuff...but at least they are making them. Now if they could have just "shrunk" down the ML series to our scale...but we all know stuff like that doesn't happen.

Can't wait for the rest of the team to show up!
It is the dang toy companies that have sometimes made me want to stop collecting toys!!!

Got Namor and his shark last week. Much better than the first series. More durable and better articulation.

i finally got some of these figures. I got Cpt. America, Doctor Octopus and Green Goblin.

I just opened GG and it's quite a nice figure. Lots of articulation, nicely painted and detailed. I wish they'd given a pumpkin bomb accessory but otherwise very cool.

Most of the figures i've seen so far in this series i wasn't too impressed with but i liked the three i got (which is why i got them, i suppose).

There was one 2 pack i was also tempted to get but it was too expensive.

Overall, very promising stuff though..
i never met an airplane i didn't like...
