Dragon 1:18 US Airborne 17th Division
Dragon 1:18 US Airborne 17th Division
Has anyone heard about these? I know we've been waiting for the Operation Cobra figures for a while now (I don't understand why, they don't seem like radical new sculpts or anything), but I also see there is a line of the 17th coming out. I don't know if they will be in winter gear or what, but I'm pretty excited nonetheless. We have plenty of the 82d & the 101st so these should be cool. Also Dragon did their Paratroopers almost 5 years ago so I'm hoping they go to the next level on these. I hope it's a set of 6 not 4....
I vaguely remember seeing the Dragon WWII Para line, but that was over a year ago and no word since. The Operation Cobra figures would not belong to the 17th Airborne as the 509th PIR was independant at the time and joined the 17th prior to the Rhine crossing. So, I would think that if they do the 17th Airborne, they would be outfitted for the 1945 Rhine drop.........

OK
I might not have been clear. The Operation Cobra guys have been threatened for months and postponed twice. They are on pre-order at some places and can be seen here:

You will also notice the 17th guys with no pic. - completely unrelated to the Operation Cobra guys.
