Error or Switched?

I ran across an ebay action for a BOB 2 card with a S1 figure on it:

Maybe a question for TKO - Would 21st Century still have a S1 figure laying around? If so, how would it find it's way into a BOB 2 package?

I dunno

At face value, it looks legit. However, the bottom of the error carded plastic is wavy in comparison to the correct packaging. :?:

i'm very skeptical it's ligit. That's an S1 panzer grenadier which was produced over 5 years ago. How could a factory have possibly 'accidentally' put it into a BOB package from recent times?

Plus the seller's feedback isn't so hot either. Goes to credibility.

I've never understood the collector fascination with 'error' stuff anyway. Baffles me.

yup

Agreed on all 3 points.
It is a way to get a complete S1 grenadier though. :P

It happens.
I got a Star Trek Voyager Capt. Janeway card with a B'lana Torres' figure on the card.
But both figures were being made at the same time.

I know

It's a switcheroo...whether or not the seller did it is debatable.

What is the trick I've seen people say works? It's something like drip acetone on the back of the card around the blister seal, and the whole thing comes off with no sign whatsoever. I think that's how alot of the customizers do the custom cardbacks with existing bubbles.

The German grenadier is the only original S1 figure I bought, and in all honesty, the S1 figures are not that impressive. I can actually see someone doing a switcheroo.

I bid....

Just my observation and something I want to add, and is not directed towards any one on this forum.

I agree the sellers feed back looks fishy,….BUT

on ther other side there are ebayer's out there that don’t know how to communicate, and some times will try to defraud the seller.

It’s always a good policy to have accurate descriptions of the item, payment and shipping information, plus I have found out that the shipping calculator is way Off, and that is not the fault of the seller.
