A B-52 in 1/18?.......NOT.

A B-52 in 1/144? Yes. Impressive plane....but if it's made in 1/144, how can you see a tiny little Major T.J. "King" Kong, (Slim Pickens), riding the missle down waving his cowboy hat?

I believe the next 1/18 suprise will be either a M-7 Priest or more likely a King Tiger.

Of course an Avenger would be welcome, but that's just an urban myth, I think.

I hope we some new pieces soon. Its been almost a month of a 2 month event and all weve really seen are modified pieces that may or may not even be in production and 1/32 plane repaints.I love 21st century but the way they announced this they made it seem like all new stuff that would be released fairly soon but i dont think well see any of these before the new year,if at all.Need i say avenger.

Have to agree.... totally impractical... the wingspan would be what? 6 feet across?? maybe more, I dunno. You would need a small hangar to house this baby!! Well, how about a "spruce goose", or an Antonov An-225 Mriya?? The Antonov is reportedly the worlds largest aircraft, so I suppose it would be largest XD plane ever made, no??

Didn't the Germans have a monstrous glider that carried tanks and the Germans added a bunch of engines to make it fly under it's own power?

Now how about that? The nose opens and we roll out a Panzer IV and a couple of half-tracks 8) Now that would be neat in 1/18 :P

I needa go turn on my AC's, this heat is killing me while my pool is being worked on. At this rate, my illegal airforce guys will have it done by labor day.

Yea TTT,
That`s the MAMMOTH (sp) or Bohmoth (sp) Glider isn`t it.

Before it got it`s own engines it was 2 Hinkel he 111`s connected together via a wing to TOW it :D

Not sure of the total tonnage it could carry though I`ve seen photos with Panzer MKIVs coming out.

Must admit Gliders would be nice to see :D WACO would be a solid choice with the flip up front. A Horsa would be even better from a british persepctive :D

Though the German Troop gliders used in Holland would be GREAT too :D

My wife was looking for a new dining room table centerpiece. A B-52 or a Horsa should fill the void. :D :D I'll surprise her.

I contacted the show "Mythbusters" to see if the Avenger model was real or a myth. They said they would get back to me.

Don't mean to split hairs here, but the Antonov is a military transport, and if I'm not mistaken the "Goose" was designed to be a military transport as well, although it never reached production.

The Goose, or Hercules as Howard Hughes called it was designed to replace troop ships in moving men and material over oceans. Yea, right.

It did fly, for a total altitude of five feet, I believe, on one flight. Hey, five feet isn't bad... :?

Yep, the story of the Goose is an interesting one for sure, and a fine example of Howard Hughes megalomania as well. The Goose was designed to be a military transport from the outset, and even though the project was doomed to failure there was never any pretense of the Goose being an airliner. A pretty good primer on the Spruce Goose can be found here for anyone who is interested.....

Well thinking of Howard Hughes got me thinking of the GeeBee and the movie " The Rocketerr" and that leads to Jennifer...

The Gee Bee would be classic, how about a 30's two fer the P-26 and the Gee Bee in a combo package.

Let's do it yeah

I think if 21st were to do civilian--the red and white GeeBee (R3 I think) would be a successful venture. And, the P-26 is just cool. It makes me think of the old comics.

I just want the F6 to be produced for WWII, an A-4 for Vietnam, and a F-14, F-15, and F22 for Modern. Maybe Admiral Toys has at least one of them planned.
