Pirates of the Caribbean Isla Cruces Playset

I was at TRU tonight looking for the BBI modern figs when I round the corner and run into this:
Now I searched before I posted this and could not find the post on if Pirates figures were near to 1/18 scale. I looked at the figures tonight and they do.
Anyway, this playset looks to be a great new future addition for my XD soldiers to use. So, keep your eye on TRU and elsewhere (Kmart, Target maybe?) for this playset to go discounted and then grab them up.
Heck, buy it for your kid and then ask him/her to borrow it!

I would say wait to pick these up for a month or so. When the movie comes out in July, expect to see Pirates stuff on sale all over then. Or, really roll the dice and wait until September when Target puts them on clearance.

Yeah Razor, I dunno about the water wheel part, but the stone structure shell looks like it would make a decent "European" looking bombed out building with a little weathering and detailing. How much are they selling for right now??

I think they were going for 34.00
The waterwheel comes off it's base.
There are 2 levels inside the building.
A ladder and flooring.

Saw it today, $28.99 at Target store in Frederick Maryland, across from the FSK mall.

This is a pretty neat item, but you are right, it needs a little work to be worth keeping. It's HUGE. It is a pretty good 1:18 scale ruin, though, and would be fantastic with the various 1:18 soldiers out there.
I did a basic conversion on mine, worked on both the wood and the stone to make it seem a bit less "toylike." There are pics here:

Law, couldn't get your foto to come up. I'd love to see what you've done to it.

Youch! Some problem at the DF forums -- I imagine (hope!) it will be cleared up soon and things will work by tomorrow.
In the meantime, let me just say -- it's specTACular...
Heh -- all I did was spray the stonework with black primer and then drybrush it for a natural stone (instead of shiny grey plastic) look. I then scratched up the wood (which is basically smooth brown plastic) to give it grain, then a layer of dark brown inkwash and some light brown drybrushing for highlighting. It looks pretty nice, hopefully the DF forums will be fixed soon and you guys can check out the pics.
Anyone in search of a good 1:18 mill, this is a nice item. At $30 at Target, where I found mine, it certainly compares well to the old 21CT playsets -- wasn't the fountain originally like $25?

Playset was clearanced down to $10 at a local WM today. At that price, I couldn't pass it up. Picked up a set.

So how does it look for "dremelizing" (or whatever your preferred method of disassembly for customization may be)? I have been watching and waiting for the price to come down from the $15, since they don't seem to be moving off the shelf yet. But if they come down to $10, I may have to pick up a couple!

$15 in my AO at several WMs..
Would work much better for Knights or Pirates in 1:18 for those of you into that..
Seems a bit too period for WWII (to me anyway)..
Btw, the engineering on the wheel is amazing even at full price.

The playset comes in pieces. Works great for me since I can paint it up and then put it together.

$15.00 in San Antonio. Not a bad deal for an interesting building.

Still 15-20 at different wallmarts at $15.00 as soon as they go down - im picking up two.
The new preview figures with cool vietnam looking hats are also great. Picked both up - the female is nice and you get some flintlock pistoles and a samurai sword to boot
