Saw these on JoeCustoms & with photos too :D

I`m hoping they will be available in the UK anytime now :D Well I hope they will.

I`m pretty impressed with the figures & most certainly the likeness I`ve seen posted.

Any chance you can post photos of your`s?

If you can be patient, I'm sure these will be everywhere. I get the feeling they are going to try to make up for dropping the merchanidising ball on the first one. I still can't beleive they did nothing when the first one came out. (oh, wait, McDonald's put banners up  )

Just found all of these guys at Target tonight. Pretty cool, but the articulation was somewhat limited. Not my thing though, so I left them for someone else.

Walmart has these now. I've seen them reported for as low as 4.48, but my Walmart had them $4.88. Much more resonable price for custom fodder, and I'm a big pirates fan, so this is great news (the price, not having to go to Walmart for something else :? )

Articulation varies by figure. Most have jointed shoulders, elbows and hips. One of the Jacks (haven't checked the other) have jointed knees. My only complaint is the giant hands. Otherwise, really happy with them.

Too bad they can't offer a real life Kiera Knightly clone

That I'd buy:)

as i recall from Figures.com coverage they are coming out with a variety of accessories and playsets for the 3 3/4 inch figures including a Black Pearl. It is way underscale of course but probably still 25 inches + in length..

I beleive the Pearl is 30 inches in length, but has a lot of "play" features, so it looks very toylike. But, like someone said, they look really good on Playmobil pirate ships  Theres also an island playset with some sort of building and waterwheel. I'll wait for that to go on clearance.

Quick aside on the playmobil pirate ships. Changing the sails and repainted the bright parts, you can have a fairly decent 1/18 pirate ship. Not exactly ships of the line, but remember most of the caribbean pirates operated with small sloops 35-65 feet in length.

I agree,

I recently bought the 2 large ships from the Megablocks line of lego-like
toys for my two little ones and I was blown away with how good they look. I just looked at a picture of the play ship coming for the Pirates figures and it is very toylike compared to the megablocks ships.

I've seen the megabloks ships assembled at TRU, they are quite nice. I've toyed with the idea of getting one but felt they were just too small to hold 1/18 figures of any type. Surprisingly detailed and weathered, don't look like 'lego' type ships at all..

I've wanted to take a look at the Megablocks ships again, as I think they might be a good starting point for making Davy Jones ship. Plus, the wife has is into building the Lego kits, so maybe for mother's day

The Megablocks ships are great! I... I mean my kids have both the ships and the Islands. I did all the rigging on the ships. I have an extra Storm stalker that I have been doing some heavy modifying to.
