1/18 r/c Bristol Beaufighter coming out

Post by aferguson » Thu Apr 27, 2006 8:09 am

Another r/c. This one due in the next few months. By Alfa, who make beautiful prefinished kits. Check it out under R&D....you can see a video of it flying. You can expect a price of around $200 though..

I emailed Alfa directly and the Beaufighter is due out the end of June and has a wingspan just under 40 inches. So it's perfect for 1/18.

Personally very exciting for me. :)

That plane is a real beauty aferg. You may just get me into r/c aircraft if they keep making them in 1/18th.

my beaufighter came yesterday. It's nicer than i thought it would be. With some detailing and adding a couple of figures it will look pretty good. Comes in North Africa camo but i think i'll repaint it coastal command grey.

Was the RAF pilot ever carded?

btw there's a nice Mosquito out now, it's fairly overscale, probably about 1/14, off the top of my head but thought i'd mention it in case some are interested.
