Best 1:18 WWII Armored Vehicle Poll

Polls seem to have been the latest rage on this board, so now I'll give one a try on an old subject...

In the past four years, we have seen alot of WWII 1:18 armored vehicles (and repaints of them) appear on the store shelves. Based on detail, functionality, accuracy, etc., which ones do you board members feel were the best? A large list of vehicle types and company that made them have been provided and the smaller vehicles have been included. For vehicles that have appeared multiple times (such as the 21st Sherman) all repaints and diecast variations are assumed to be grouped under the vehilce type. Have fun!

Another poll will be conducted for the modern vehicles in a seperate post.

Funny, I left out the 21st WC-57 Command Car, and can't get it to fit back in the poll... That would be the 10th option.

I love German tanks, but that Sherman sure looks nice. Hence my vote....

I love my Tiger I.
It might be because of its significance in history and the movies and not really the actuall toy.

The Tiger is an awesome vehicle. 21st went all out, including the cannon detail with spent shell, turret machine gun, seats and stools, stowed ammo, and even the handles on the undersides of the hatches. A supurb effort!

Sherman for me

My granfather was a tank commander in one in WW2.So thats why it gets my vote.He had two tanks"shot out from under him and he drowned another one(his words).

I voted Tiger I too, because of all the detail, but I was tempted to put down the Hanomag and US Halftrack. Both were incredible detail, tons of moving parts/separate pieces, tons of accessories, and I'd say their value is unsurpassed in the line by either BBI or 21st.

$30 for all you got is simply incredible.

Still though, the Tiger I is just impressive. In metal, it's even more so. I really want a winter metal one. :) Too bad all we have is grey.

I went with the Tiger I but the Panther is my favorite. The Tiger has fantastic detale, I just like the look of the Panther.
My hats off to 21st Century on all there 1/18th offerings!! I've been model building for 30++ years and in the last few,I got into 1/16 but at $200 to $300 per Tank ( Verlinden , Tamiya and others ) it was to much. Thanks 21st and Mr. Allen! I'm looking forward to the new release of the 1/18th Panzer IV. :D

Even though I am primarily an airplane enthusiast, I really like the Tiger. I prefer the two tone camo. The winter version is pretty nice too.

21st C left off the outermost roadwheels, just like on their 1/32 Tiger. :(

Itcbj,
I think you are thinking of an early version Tiger with three disc wheels per boggie, but the 21st C is the steel wheeled late version with two per boggie. Then again you can say that the smoke launchers on the turret are not right for the late versions, but is still one of the best in my book.

The 251 gets my vote because it had the most customizing options (which I have taken liberal advantage of).
