Small Scale Military Headquarters

Heres a question for you WWII buffs since i dont know all that much, was wondering if there was a different paint scheme for marine shermans in the pacific,

or were they just regulat OD green with USMC markings, or did they even have tanks in the pacific, seems that tanks are to jungle ready,

curious becuase i am wondering if 21st might put out a marine/pacific theater sherman repaint with the up coming release of the marines.

I think they had one already in camo with coed on the side.

there has been both a pacific (Bushmaster) sherman and a marine one (COED). The Pacific sherman is in a different shade of green than the Europe one, which fairly accurately reflects the different shade of green that was used on Pacific army shermans.

Both are pretty tough to find these days...

The board is right about Pacific Shermans.
21 C made a Pacific Theatre mottled camo Sherman with "coed" on the side-try Evil-Bay, if you want one. Shermans and M3/M5 Stuarts all served in the Pacific and were invaluable in covering troop advances and blowing up Japanese pillboxes, etc. A flamethrower Sherman proved particularly lethal. Japanese tanks were not much of a problem 'cause they were small and not deployed en masse to oppose U.S. tanks. Nothing like the problems Shermans encountered in Europe against Panthers and Tigers!

The BUSHMASTER is sweet - it has the Japanese kill marks on it, and a lot of 'em.
