HEADS UP TO CANADIAN EBAY SELLERS

On Feb 4 a group of Canadian based Ebay sellers did not have their Managed Payments payouts deposited into their bank accounts, as was scheduled. At first it seemed like a minor issue but it was not. The sellers who are out their Feb 4 money, still have not received it and Ebay is refusing to comment on the matter.
At this point the speculation is either a major hack took place, picking the money transfers off as they were sent, or an Ebay employee(s) somehow stole the money. Whatever happened, clearly it was something major. The cause of the problem appears to be with ebay.ca not ebay.com.
All payouts since that date have been received by everyone expecting one. But the Feb 4 money has not been replaced by Ebay and those of us involved are starting to wonder if it ever will be.
In my case the amount was trivial, fortunately, about 36 bucks, but some people are out thousands......the biggest i know of is over $10,000 from one seller. Those of us affected are communicating on an ebay forum. Initially there was only a handful but the number affected is growing every day as new people discover the forum (most people have no idea it exists) The total is up to approx 30 who are out money but the real total is more likely in the hundreds, given ebay.ca's stonewalling. There is some talk among people effected about contacting the RCMP.
One fallout of this is that, since we don't know what happened, we can't be sure it won't happen again.......so everyone is nervously watching every scheduled payout in the hope that it does get deposited into their bank account.
