How do you display your models?

How do you display your 1/18th scale airplanes? Do you hang them up, or put have them on shelves? I keep mine on shelves I have in the corner of a room. I like the way the planes look on their landing gear. My new F-86 is on my desk, and I am about out of room. Oh well, more shelves.

I hang them on the ceiling, display some others on a table, and the rest are stored and rotated through.

Believe it or not, the 19" monitor I have has just about enough flat area that the footprint of the landing gear fits on it!! The plane is perfectly level sitting on the monitor itself. There is no other way I could display it! I don't have the guts to hang it as I have a plaster ceiling in this old house of mine. The F-16 always has me looking over my shoulder with worry, hehehehe.....

Me myself I build dioramas with all my planes,tanks,and figures.I then take a few pictures of each - print them out - and put them in a photo album.I do this because I don't have alot of room to display everything, it gives me a chance to be creative, and I can take the photo album anywhere and look at all my stuff I have storeage. I do have 2 planes hanging from fishing line from the ceiling like they are in a dog fight. Hope that helps

I myself need to sort out some display shelves,spend too much time doing customs that thinking about displaying........HAHAHAHA
Though I do have a few out on book shelves of my armour & Helo`s

Well, that's putting the standard size monitors to good use. I've got a flat screen monitor which is great but can't display anything on it's top.

The F-18 is pretty solid on the monitor. I took an updated shot of the room a couple minutes ago:

Several things of note:
1. WWII RAF Fighter pilot's helmet to the right with a Navy officer's hat above
2. WWII USAAF navigator's case on the floor to the left
3. The framed eagle embroidery on the wall to the back was sold by the Japanese to US sailors during the world tour of the Great White Fleet in 1907
4. The WWI helmet lamp with a artillery shell base on my desk
5. The HMS Hood paper model on top of the display case that I made when deployed to the desert this last year, now warped, hehehehe...
6. It's not as cluttered as it looks, no really.

Had to reorganize my "War" room to try and accomodate as many 1:18 as possible. (wife wont let me bring them to the living room

You can reassure her that I only have half of the room. My wife has the other half for her Quilting/knitting/sewing hobbies.....

Red 3 190D and S1 Stuka are hangong from the ceiling, Blue 12 190D is boxed and tossed in the closet.
Huey Hog sits on the shelf with Joe choppers.

This is without a doubt a beautiful way to display your collection. I just wish I had the room to do it, but I dont.
