Anyone think we will see a 1:18th scale F4F Wildcat? That would be great, and with its unique landing gear it would look nice.

I think you would have a better chance of getting a Hellcat someday.

BBI had a prototype at one point. They would be a good candidate for producing one. given they already have an excellent Corsair and Zero.

Yes, bbi did have the Hellcat proto. And, from what little information has been gleaned, it seemed cool. Now, I have heard some of you all balk at the i dea of a Wildcat, and I did at first, too. However, I think that if 21st can make manageable undercarraige for the Starfighter I am sure that a Wildcat has to be in the mix from one of the 3 companies.

wildcat would be nice. Some day, many years from now, when there is a huge collector base in this hobby, we could see one.

Heh, the funny thing is that there are more paint schemes out there for Wildcats than that for Hellcats....

Operation Torch
1941 US Navy
1943 2 tone US Navy
1944-45 Single tone US Navy
Royal Navy
Atlantic US Navy

18 scale turns of the crank to lift the gear.

I would love any thing '40s from the Iron Works!
I love Kittys ;)

You know, I need to read the post more clearly... when I was talking about the BBI prototype, I was reffering to the F6F Hellcat

I would like to see an F4F as well - its a very important fighter, given that it held the line in the Pacific against the superior Zero until suitable replacements were to be had (namely the Corsair and Hellcat) and even then they continued to serve!
