hi all
i'm still wondering about buying a hummer in 1:18 scale
i'm hesitating betwen a PTE, a bbi or a joe humvee
i remember reading that you can't sit a fig in one of these but can't pinpoint which
can you help sort it out ?
thanks

I can't comment on the SWAT BBi Humvee, but I do have the BBi Humvee with the recoilless. That one, along with PTE and Joe, have no problem putting figures in. Of those three, get the BBi w/ Recoiless as my first choice, the Joe as the second (and replace the gun mount), and lastly get the PTE (not the most robust of design). But, that's if you have to pick one. Personnally, I like all of them.
If you want a Humvee you can't get figures in, then go Maisto.
I can't remember scale on PTE or BBi, but I do recall the Joe humvee is oversized.

yeah i'm afraid the joe one is oversized too
i kinda think i can only get the swat bbi and the night ops joe
no restrictions on PTE products though
what about the accessories ? are the weapons realistic or not ?
man it would be easier if a good chap mei toy was avalaible because these vehicles are hard to come by in france

Although its not one of the companies you specified, the 21c Hummers (there are four) are pretty good. Although you can only get two or three figures into them, they are one of the more accurate 1:18 Hummers out there.

Then the better question is what kind of Humvee do you want.
If you want playability, go with the Night Ops Joe. I don't have that one (I have the Jungle Strike), but its solidly put together, and sounds like it comes with some pretty cool accesories, but not necessarily realistic (problem with anything GI Joe). PTE will always come with a bunch of accesories, and look fairly decent. A BBi Swat Humvee your going to have to repaint if you want a military model.

thanks all
i'm looking for a realistic humvee not very sure about the color though, the PTe one is cheap and it's quite appealing since i gotta add shpping costs to europe

Well XD is the smallest out of all the brands. BBI & PTE are pretty much spot on length & Height. I`ve recently gotten the Joe Desert one & that isn`t that much bigger than the BBI & PTE (i`m converting to an Ambulance to hide that fact even more

).
So personally I say go PTE & BBI. You have a wider variation & some great Humvee`s too.
That`s my humble opinion anyway.

i'VE NOTICED THESE NEW HUMMERS SITTING -
AT FIRST THE DODGE TRUCK LEFT REAL QUICK AND THE HUMMERS SAT - THIS WAS A MONTH AGO - NOW THERE ARE MORE HUMMERS SITTING AND IT APPEARS THE DODGE TRUCK IS GOING TO START SITTING AS WELL -
iT IS ALMOST LIKE THE 1:18 COLLECTORS JUST SIT AND WAIT FOR THE ITEMS TO CLEARANCE!
21st xd is most detailed and accurate

The 21st is the most detailed and accurate but also the most expensive.

PTE is the way to go! They have the best articulated figures on the market and best of all...EACH ONE of their figures can FIT in the vehicles-behind the steering wheel and in EACH seat! And you're right! The price is excellent!!!!
