I stumbled on this website and about had a heart attack, I know they are $$$$$$ and I’ve seen the Babs in person and it wasn’t cheap but oh how I wish. They have many others in different scales also. Always good to dream. Click the link and then click on museum model for the 1/18 scale.

Thanks for posting. Those are nice! What kind of prices do these actually bring? If the prices were shown I missed them.

I saw the Babs at a hobby shop in Tokyo years ago and I think it was a couple grand, probably around the price the f-14’s are going for on eBay.

These are awesome museum models. Are they made in high quality plastic/resin ?

I ran the site through Google Translate (which should be called Google Lost in Translation) and found that the larger 1/18 models are "mainly FRP, some resin, metal, acrylic", but curiously, the smaller scales are typically "mainly wooden, some resin, metal, acrylic"...I wonder how they react to high humidity...

Try this link for a price list (beats me why they don't supply the prices with the pictures of the individual models)...unfortunately the prices are listed in yen:

And if you have some time to kill, you should check out the owner's blog (he started out designing record album covers for Sony but has a life-long love for plastic models)...including some amusing observations of various countries, including a trip to Russia and some unsavory characters...it's a shame Google Translate is still a work in progress, some passages are nearly incoherent, but you can get a general idea of what he's saying...

I didn't either. Would be too depressing.
