Well I have gone against my principles I have worked on a 1/16 scale AV
I kind of had to ,this is a consolation for a Hind
It was a resin kit from a customizer in Germany.

The kit it self was of great quality but the resin was BRITTLE !!!!
I had to scratch build the hand crank, wire cullers, front head lamps , protective cage , tow cable and the brake lights.

The most time went into changing the running gear.

I had to alter the wheel support to go to the old style center line rollers
They do not make the wheels hallow.( spokes )
I had to use 21st wheels and wrap plastic around the wheel chucked it in a drill and spun sanded to the correct diameter.
Then I had to grind off the chevrons on the tracks and glued on pieces of plastic to cover the sand marks and build up just a wee bit.

I also tried a new painting procedure that I got off the internet on paint the wooden handles on the pioneer gear.
I think they came out great and will use this method on my gear from now on.

I also went with AK paint that is lighter than the MIG paints.
Looks a little dark in the pictures but is a lot lighter.

Here are some pics.

Nice model Matthew, I always thought this was an odd looking tank.
I guess it was what they came up with before the final design of the Sherman.
What was the name of the color you used?
