XD Stuka Gunner Use, Check it out

Hi Everyone
As people may have been wondering why I have wanted all the Stuka gunners, well here is the reason. I use them in my Authentic Models WWI collection airplanes as pilots. They are a little underscaled compared to the planes but they fit into the cockpits very nicely.
I have my Camel and Spad pictured with the pilots in them. Figures work nice for these models. Thought everyone might be interested. Planes are about 1/12 scale.

Pretty neat ! .........but the pilot appears to be,..still too small though. ....I could be wrong,..can't really tell for sure.

Well yeah they are. Unfortunately the way the cockpits are done I don't think you could get a 1/12 scale figure in them. Maybe just the top portion but certainly not seated like they should be. Plus I haven't found any 1/12 figure that would look right and I don't want to damage the aircraft just putting a figure in them. The odd scale is really what the problem is here and unfortunately, until we are getting 1/18 World War I machines, we're stuck, LOL
These models are exceptional by this company. I just enjoy them and don't really worry too much if the figs are a bit small. They look ok for me

Yeah,.....don't take me wrong,....I like your models,...they're really neat,...the pilots don't look,.. that "out of place" either.

The planes are available from Authentic Models. I go through a dealer called bjimportsusa. They are very pricey though I must warn you. I have got mine when they offer special prices on them and so forth to keep costs down. As I have bought several they give me a little bit of a break too.
Added some photos of my collection of airplanes as well.

Corey, thanks a lot for sharing those nice pictures of your models.
I do have the same problem with several pilots and crews destined for my 1:25, B-17. But I remember as a kid in middle school, an arts project that we did, where we made a replica of a plastic clown using melted wax and a material that remainded me of the liquid used for making casts.
I'm currently trying to make a replica of my F-104 pilot using this method. My plan is to use my new pilot as a replacement for the F-86 (no offense Jason
). If successful, I'll be posting the exact technique on the Tricks and Tips thread.
