Walmart has determined that California is not a statistically relevant state, demographically speaking ;)

Yeah, so we have the BBD, Old Crow, all three migs, PH p-40, 104s, etc- but we don't have the 1/32nd winter and dak 109, tarheel, and 2 or three of the other 109s. So, why do y'all get all the good stuff????????????????

Picked up a Canadian (tiger) F-104 today in Henrietta NY. Hadn't planned on getting one, but just had to when I saw it in person.

Long Island Report

Old Country Road - More S3 Russian Migs.

Uniondale/N.Jerusalem - Tiger and Silver Starfighters, the old NF 109's, and Huff Sabres.

I was in 1 more Walmart, but I dont know the "LI Jargon" for it. It's on exit 27N, then the first exit on that road. They had a lot of the new Starfighters, and MS Sabres.

Massepequa Walmart has no 1/18 at all, neither does the new one near Republic Airport.

Figures are more or less unchanged in all Walmarts.

I bought the new silver Starfighter, I really like it, it has a very nice paint job. It's actually my first duplicate of any plane, I bought the Luftwaffe Starfighter as my first plane, and have been killing myself for a long time that I missed out on the S1 Starfighter, well now I finally have a Silver one :D

If someone finds the new P-40's, please tell me.

Local Northern Kentucky recon shows the Big Beautiful Dolls are in town along with the Huff F-86 and the Tiger F 104. All of these planes can be found at the Florence store. I snagged a BBD and must say it’s a great looking bird. I love the clear canopy.

On a side note I also noticed a 32x Winter ME-109. This was obviously a returned item. It looked like the owner tried to “customize” the winter paint scheme by dry brushing on more white. They did such a bad job on it they decided to return it. What a waist.

I dropped by the Gilroy, CA Walmart this weekend. A ton of XD 104's, Camo Migs, PH P40's, and bunch of BBD's.

Found both F-104s, PH P-40s, and Old Crow and BBD. I already have all of the planes except for BBD.

I was going to buy the BBD but the paint jobs on the 4 they had were unacceptable. Fuzzy checkers, lots of smudges and fingerprints, red outlines that are a bit too pinkish, and black that wasn't really black enough.

I'm not terrribly nit picky and I accept that most 18th planes have some flaws because they are toys, but these were really bad. :( I'll wait until I find a better batch.

Visited a WM I don't normally go to today. They had six Big Beautiful Dolls, two Old Crows, both Pearl Harbo P-40's and the Canadian Tiger Meet F-104. I was very suprised because this store never has any XD. The BBD's looked fantastic, it is the first time I've seen one in person and I was tempted but I really don't have the room.

My walmart got a huge shipment of planes in this week. There had to be atleast 30 planes. There was atleast two boxes of all the f104s, 2 boxes of both f-86s, and 3 boxes of the chinese migs and one box of the ussr. Surprising since i havent seen anything new since before christmas

same here - one store In LoveJoy GA - outside Atlanta - has the most planes I have seen in a long time - this store had a ton of 190's when they first opened probably from other stores - and they just went missing one day - probably in back - but from no planes to a few Migs (few months back) many Migs (last month) and now 4 chinese Migs, 2 Russian Migs, 2 pearl Harbor warhawks, 4 tiger strip 104s, 4 silver 104's and now 4 old crows. Another store did the same thing and pit two of their 104's on clearance for 39.77 - instead of 39.97.

Well, at least they're in CA! Now if they'll ever show up in that number further south. Me thinks not  But it is probably just as well that they don't - if I saw a BBD P-51 with a near-flawless paintscheme, I would probably walk out with a 6th Mustang for the collection...

Martinez, CA W-M:

Approximately 8 or so P-51 BBDs and 11 or so F-86 Huffs. Unbelievable inventory quantity for that store. All at regular price.

Damn! My local Wal mart that has been getting in the 1:18 stuff just got in 4 Chinese Mig-15s. I think they're slowly cycling this stuff through: first the F-104s, then the Huff F-86s, then the F-104s again, and now the Migs. At this rate, perhaps I'll see the BBDs and PH P-40s by September?

FYI Renton, WA Wallymart recon

Post by nfafan » Tue Jun 26, 2007 8:20 pm

At the Renton, WA Wally today 6/26/2007, found;
Couple "tiger striped" Mig-15's, couple Dragon Huff F86's, a BBD P51, and F104. Plus about 4 of the Special Ed Pearl Harbor P40s.

Most 1/18th A/C I've seen in a Wally in a LONG time.

Seems to be that the order is going something like:

Chinese MiG-15
Huff F-86
Tiger 104
BBD.

I just saw a first lonely BBD today in front of a hold over Huff.

I stopped at the Ottawa and Lawrence KS. Walmart yesterday. Found the Canadian 104 and the Old Crow Mustangs but no BBD version. Still can't find the Tracker and Artillery Observer figures around here.
