BBI P-47

Post by bravo5 » Sat Feb 04, 2006 10:35 am

Does anyone have a pic of the prototype of the 1/18 P-47 showed a few years back? Also, does anyone know if they are going to release it or has it been scrapped?

I don't know where to find it, but the only pic showed just the tail section. My guess is that the project may be scrapped as 21c has beaten both types of the P-47 (razorback & bubbletop) into the ground with repaints. With the exception of the Corsair, BBI has thus far done quite well in choosing WWII and modern aircraft that 21c either hasn't produced, or did a terrible job with (ie the P-51). Then again, as with seemingly everything in this hobby, one never knows...

Yeah, no photograph of it exists among collectors as bbi would not allow it to be photographed along (until very recently) with the Hellcat.
