I started the top ten bomber thread, but also there's the Top Ten Armor list for we guys that love the heavies. The five considerations for making the list are based on Firepower, Armor, Mobility, Production Rating, and Fear Factor. And here they are: 10)M-4 Sherman, 9) Israeli Merkava, 8) Soviet T-54/55, 7) British Challenger, 6) German MkIV Panzer, 5) British Centurion, 4) WWI British "Male" tank, 3)Tiger I tank, 2)M1 Abrams, and finally, Number 1, the RUSSIAN T-34.
Personally it's beyond me why noone has released the T-34 yet...yeah it doesn't really have the market appeal(like Russian aircraft don't)but this is the vehicle that rolled back the Nazis in the East. Would the Russians be speaking German without it? You tell me. After that, it really would be cool to see the Challenger and Merkava in 1:18 8)

The neat thing is, five of those 10 have been done!

Of course, I would rather see a T-72 than a T-55, but c'est la vie.

At least a T-72 could be done in Iraqi colors as a target for the M1, the Bradley, the F-16 and the F/A-18....

Steelbonnet, how could you miss the Centurion???? Hehehe.

The Centurion is my favorite post war/Cold war tank, especially the Israeli versions.

Everything IDF kicks butt. The Sherman that they changed the turret and added a 105mm kicked butt against the T-55, even the Eqyptian M-48's, in the Six Day War.

The IDF put a diesel in the White Half-track and used them for years. :? Remember that they started as a country with only a few Panzer III's in their army and two Me-109's as their air force. You use what you can get your hands on and the IDF made the best use of what they got.

Sorry, I wander and back to armor.......

How the T-34 hasn't been done in 1/18 is beyond me.

I would like to see an M3 Lee. It would be an intersting model especially if all the hatches opened. A M3 Stuart would be really nice. Those poor 21st Marines need some support. Rivits, rivits, rivits please... A light Panzer such as a Pzkw II or a Luchs would be a nice addition. A Sug III would be another desire in 1:18. A flak panzer would be good. I am not a big Russian fan, but the T34 or T34/85 would be a must, the later could be used to depict North Korean armour.

A T-72, T-34, T-55, M-26, Challenger II, and a Merkava would be awesome to have in 1/18.

As for the IDF,well I`ve always said,a Company makes the Best they can do with the Budget given. Sell to the IDF & see how it CAN BE improved :D
