When mine arrive I will report on whether their wrists move, which killed the last 5 pack for me. Glad to see new anything however.

The German shepherd brings really something new.
I'm less convinced on the figures, there has been so many different made...
So, if somebody wants the figs but not the dog, thank you for pm me!

Looks like I'll need to go check my local TRU... The figures look decent and seem to have better/more detailed paint applications than the other BBI figures have had lately. I could use some figures of this type as well. But, it looks like from the photos that there will be no wrist articulation...

Found a couple sets of the new BBI Ranger figures at my local TRU this afternoon for $19.99. Not bad overall and I like the new head sculpts and the dog figure. The set also comes with an "assault ladder" accessory. The figures are similar in construction to those in the USMC figure pack released a few months ago... Basically somewhat limited articulation compared to BBI's past efforts, no articulating wrists or ankles, and relatively simple paint jobs. I think I'll use these to crew my Special Ops Humvee or something like that...

Yep - just got these the other day. As Tman said, no wrist artic, just like the Marine Recon 5-pack (re-uses the same arms and legs). And the paint is nowhere near as detailed as the pics above show. BUT at 4 figs + dog + accessories for $20 I couldn't have expected too much more. Of course I'd have paid more for more artic and detailed paint, but that's not their target market/price point I guess.

However I really dig the accessories - updated M249, SCAR-L with it's special grenade launcher, shorty shotty, and M110?. I also love that somebody over there thought for two seconds about matching the right gun with the right pouches - the SCAR-L guy has that sweet belt of 40mm grenades. And the shotty guy has those shells all over his gear. And the headgear is all very sweet - just wish the NVGs actually moved up and down (but I will be rectifying that, along with the wrist artic).

All in all a lot of bang for your buck if like modern guys.

p.s. - the little camera on the dog's back actually flips up and down (nice touch!).

Time to go hit up the TRU, I didn't think they carried them in stores.

Thanks for the pics and reviews guys. Shame the last round of singles never materialized.
Are there new guys on the back of the box?

There are - though I'm afraid we might not see them! The last round of single packs at Target never seemed to show up - but some of those figs made it into the vehicle packs (SOC-R gunboat and FAV buggy I think).

Anyhow I don't have a pic, but the back of the Rangers pack shows four more new figs - a 10th Mountain Div. gunner (camo), an NBC guy (camo), a Hostage Rescue Team guy (grey/black), and a helicopter gunner (grey/black).

:?: regarding Hans....the dog, is that equipment pack molded on the dog or is it removable?

Thanks Parrish for the answer.

Mine arrived today and beside the unfortunate articulation, it is a fun $20 set. The head scultps and weapons are pretty detailed - I think these guys are aimed at customizers as well as kids. The sniper has one eye closed for aiming which is interesting. As for the guys on the back (that we may never see) the Nightstalker has a skull print on his mask which looks cool.

A few other knocks are the sidearms aren't painted and none of these guys comes with anything (gear wise) on their backs at all.

NOOOO!!! How did I miss this!?! :(
I never saw these in stores and the web site is sold out. I never saw the Marine 5-pack at my local TRU, so it's questionable if I'll eventually see this.
On the plus side, I DID find the Marine 5-pack at Ross for $13, so maybe the Ranger set will end up there (I hope).

BTW, any more single-figure 5 Below sightings?

Go to the Toys R Us website and ask them to email you a notice when they are back in stock. They were restocked earlier in the week but sold out fast.

FOUND IT!
Went to a TRU out of town and found 3 of these sets and 3-4 of the Marine sets on a side-cap. Picked one and $23 later I was on my way! :D
Thanks, guys!

Now to find the last 2 waves of singles.....

Yes!!! I did find the unreleased wave of four guys at Five Below - $3 each. Navy Seal Night Ops, AF Combat Controller, Army Delta Operator, Army Ranger.

Thanks for the heads up tderespino! Just ordered a set. I found the Marines at Toys R Us got 1 there, ended up going to Kohl's right after TRU and found the same Marine set there for $13.99. I'm going to have to try a 5 and below, but it's a little ride to get to the closest one.
