Vehicles 21st century need to make…anyone agree?

Who out there thinks 21st Century Toys needs to make the following German vehicles in 1/18 scale: Jagdtiger, Jagdpanther, SD KFZ 222, 8 ton Halftrack, Kettenkrad and a troop carrier. An American deuce & half would be nice also. I believe Ultimate Soldier already a lot of these items in a different scale so why not 1/18? I think most would sell pretty well.
well...

I'm sure most of us agree but won't hold our breath. The only one on the list I take issue with is the Jagdtiger. It was not that common, it would have to be big ($$), and the hull is slightly longer than the KT which in 1:18 could not be ignored like it was in 1/32. I'll leave the JT to the history books but I'm with you, especially the 8 ton and the recon car. We have plenty of Big Boys for the Germans already, but we need the support stuff.

I pretty much agree with Digger. I would personally love some more small German vechicles like the SDK222 and the Kettenrad. A King Tiger and Jagdpanther would be cool as well!

I am really digging the idea of a Kettenkrad. A recon car would be cool, but this thing is just so neat. It is on a must have list.

I agree with the German stuff mentioned but what about U.S. stuff?
M-16 White Half-track with the quad .50
Quad .50 on a trailer - to be pulled behind the 1 1/2 ton Dodge
57mm M-1 Anti Tank Gun - to be pulled behind the Dodge
105 Howitzer - to be pulled by the Dodge
A M-18 Tank-Destroyer
A M-24 Light Tank
M-20 and M-8 Armored Cars
I know I'm stretching the "gotta have" list but then I'm still waiting for my Avenger

I would like to see all that stuff made.
The deuce & a half would be cool too. Could they use the same frame to make a fuel truck?

I would think they could use the same frame for the fuel truck. Either way there would be countless customizing projects. I always wanted to make a deuce and half gun truck.

The fuel truck and the cargo duece & a half use the same chasis. Just cut off the body behind the frame. Also use the frame for a decent fire truck. They even had a wrecker on the same chasis. Most wreckers were 5 tons but dueces were used. My web site has a pic of a CCKW with a #7 wrecker set. Neat truck and very handy. I never did a parade without something bigger than my trucks to pull breakdowns home. My web site also has some of my favorite pics of my buddies breaking down in a parade in a M-3 Stuart and a handy 4 ton wrecker pulling him back to the show site where the tank was fixed. Sorry, as usual, I wondered off topic.
CCKW makes the list, just ask General Patton who won the war......he said the M-1 Garand and the CCKW duece & a half.....he should know.

Sorry but the "gun trucks" we all know were not CCKW's they were more modern M series dueces. I have seen pics of a quad .50 mount in the back of a CCKW in WW2 but they were not considered "gun trucks", and only a few were dueces, the VN era "gun trucks" were 5 tons..

I now this is a little off the subject, but how about a 1:18 Howard Hughes Spruce Goose? We think we have space problems now!

Speaking of VN:
I've got a VHS history of the 101Abn in VN and there is just the neatest shot of an M-37 turned into a gun truck with an M-60 on either side of the cargo bed and the truck was pulling a 105mm Howitzer, in the Highlands.
Besides being a super cargo truck a M-37 can make really nice gun trucks even if it was a 3/4 ton. I have two pics from various web sites showing armor plate and M-60's, one a double M-60 mount on an M-37.
How neat would that be in 1/18. I must admit I favor M-37's because I drove one in Korea and VN and have owned at least one for the last 25 years. My current M-37 is also on my web site. With my M-37, I've pulled a Jeep trailer and a 3/4 ton trailer as well as my 57mm Anti-tank gun (so wars were mixed, it was fun) and I even towed a M-3 Half-track (9 tons) for about a half mile out of a wooded area when it broke down and flat pulled my Command Car at 50mph for 15 miles to bring it home after it broke. Half the fun of driving an old truck is getting it home in one piece, even if it is at the end of a chain

Very good suggestions! I'd be happy if anyone of them were ever produced especially the tanks.

IN THE INTERVEIW WITH ROY LAST YEAR, I THINK SOME US, ESPECIALLY ME, HOPED HE COULD UP-SCALE THE EXISTING 1/32 TO 1/18. ROY SAID THIS WAS ALOT HARDER THAN YOU THOUGHT & THAT IT ONLY MAGNIFIED EXISTING FAULTS & IT WAS MUCH EASIER TO COME DOWN IN SIZE, WHICH OF COURSE MAKES THE 1/6 KETTENKRAD AN OBVIOUS CHOICE BY 21ST. THE SHOWCASE PIECE FOR ME HAS ALWAYS BEEN & WILL ALWAYS BE , A 8T HALF TRACK PULLING A 88. IF ONLY.

The 8 ton with AT gun would be great;)

Army Group:
Following your thought about downscaling sizes, why hasn't 21C downsized the 1/6 White Scout Car and the 1/6 Stuart.
To me those two pieces along with the Kettengrad would be surefire big sellers in 1/18. They are big sellers in 1/6, like the Command Car, which is the only one duplicated into 1/18.

Well, this is true, BUT they up-scaled the M113 from a 1/35 plastic model kit, and if they hadn't put all the stupid stowage with the resultant holes, it would have sold alot better (not that sales were bad, I mean it DID sell out)
