21st has some pics of there new aircraft stands, these look pritty cool. Check them out.

Pretty tempting. It sure would solve some of my space problems. I'd prefer it to be in black, though. The silver kinda overrides the planes a bit...

Great idea - but I gotta agree that black would be much better than the aluminum color.

Also, how difficult would it be to add some shelves so that maybe 2-3 planes could be displayed horizontally? Even though it would probably cut down on the total # of planes you could place per stand, it would look more like a display for somebody's collection instead of an easy way to store/transport planes for a show, and would still be a huge space saver.

Great idea, and kudos to 21C for thinking of the collector's and soliciting their feedback! Hope this idea has wings and actually takes off (bad pun intended!)

Actually, if you read the page, it says may come in black and may cost an additional amount for black. This means nothing is final and as of yet, and they dont make them in black until they see the demand

The stand looks nice but I'd prefer displaying my models in the horizontal position. The vertical seems unnatural to me, but I do understand that some of us live in smaller places and space is a serious consideration.

Maybe they can make them paintable so we an paint them any color we choose.

I own 3 of these displays. I feel in love with them after seeing them in action at last years Toy Fair in NY.

When you have over 50 1:18 scale airplanes the space starts to become a small issue. The ability to store/display/ and enjoy 30 airplanes in a space of 3 feet deep by 9 feet wide is pretty impressive.

These were expensive for me being that I only bought 3. of the 5 prototypes that are in existance! So that was a drawback (at least on the pocket book)

But for me they have been a huge save on the homefront. My wife has not bugged me too much about space as a result. I like to take my planes down a and enjoy them from time to time so the display is nice in that regard. It does require a little common sense to build but nothing on the scale of assembling a something like a bike on christmas day

I personally like the silver. But that is just me. It has an aircraft aluminum look to it. My home office is where I have the displays now. It is decorated in replica nose art, and even has aircraft aluminum panels on the lower portion of the wall. It's a MAN CAVE! Friends and Neighbors love the plane displays and think it's too cool! I have sent so many people to Wal-Mart or to Bad Cat Toys to buy planes... you would think I was a shareholder of both companies!

It will be interesting to see how many people have interest in the displays and if there are enough to support the cost of producing a med. sized batch! cuz at 3 they cost a pretty penny

The displays do look good. Nice design. I prefer to hang mine from the basement ceiling. (And in every other room in the house.)
I think they would be perfect for any smaller retail store that sells XD.

Good idea! Hopefully these will eventually make it to some sort of retail - even if its through 21c. These would be a god-send for saving space, yet maximizing one's display!

Hopefully they'll keep it at $100 or around there. I'd be hard pressed to shell out much more than thatm, especially as id like 2 or 3 of them.

I'm with you kevin. Right now my master bedroom and Florida room are both the European and Pacific theathers of operation, respectively. As for my 1:32s, I haven't yet decided whether to display them on a shelve or hang them up in my garage.
