F-4 Phantom, easily.
The A-10, while a great CAS aircraft, certainly won't win any beauty contests, and is a very basic aircraft.
Phantom,on the other hand,has everything going for it, countries that operated it, and schemes.
Much harder to do though, as am sure Matthew will confirm.

Very tough call. I really prefer them both equally. Speaking of the F-4 does Admiral Toys ever plan on doing anything further with their prototype? Its practically a complete working model. I believe the landing gears were fixed but who cares at this point. Just sign, seal, deliver.

Us older guys will have a greater appreciation for the F-4. I grew up with the F-4 as the butt kicking MiG killer in Vietnam. Has there been another plane used as a frontline fighter in the Navy, Air Force and Marines? Closest I can think is the F-86/Fury series.
The A-10 is legendary in its role but the F-4 is legendary in air-to-air combat as well as ground attack and has done so as stated world-wide.
What a complex project that would be.
Would think an F-105 would be less challenging. Cleaner, simpler lines.

I was talking to a few buddies of mine (old guys like me ) about the A-10 vs the F-4 and they said that they belive that the F-4 would me more popular than the A-10 .
On this forum the F-4 a 3-1 favorite over the A-10. With 17 votes so far.
On the Fighting 1/18th the A-10 is a 2-1 favorite . With 16 votes so far .

or at least i have a special request an F4N phantom its prettymuch an airforce c but for the navy and usmc

I'd love to have a Vietnam era Marine Corps Phantom. I think you could get your monies worth out of an F-4 with all the variants and operators.

I've looked at that other site a few times. Seems they are more younger guys into more modern stuff.
