The original post was getting long in the tooth so I made this one.

First you need to pop off the old side tool boxes. This is not that hard to do and can be done with a flat screw driver.

You need to make a horizontal cut under the rear door just where the side start to flair out .

Then make a vertical cut just behind the last side tool box alignment peg socket . Both sides .

Now do you see the top Hanomag ( original) from the point of the muffler well ( front ) to the point were the armor sides come to a point ( back ) . Cut the armor side off so that it looks like the bottom Hano.

Image

Now unscrew the 2 screws located under the front bumper and pop off the top half .

By cutting the side armor off it will expose the under frame so you need to use the 2 filler pieces ( in white ) to fill this void. These will be supplied in the kit .

You need to cut , fill, sand and paint all of this area under the body before you glue the new rear clamb shell piece . The new end piece is a single piece and the Hano's body is 2 pieces top and bottom. One you graft the new clam shell piece on there will be no separating the top and bottom hulls again.

Here I painted a mock up using spray cans for paint. Great colour match !!

The dk grey is from O'Reillys it is Hot Rod gray primer right out of the rattle can and the green is Model Master OD green.

I got a piece of cardboard cut about a 1/4 slot in it and was able to spray though it and make the stripes a simple and easy paint job with matching color AND NOT USE A AIR BRUSH !!!!!

I am missing the direction indicators on the side and I need to make another head lamp.

The Notek is copied from a Indy truck and the head lamp is scratch made.

The hinges are fully operational. The " D" handle is static.

6 Years I did not realize .

I guess that I have been distracted :D :D :D

I do not know if I have mentioned a price before but I am thinking about $75 for the mod kit . Plus about $6 shipping.

How does that sound ?
