Just wanted to say Hello to everyone here. I'm new here and I just disovered not long ago the 21st line at Wally World. I haven't actually bought anything yet, but I think my wife is getting me something for Christmas, knowing what a big WWII buff I am.

I look forward to meeting everyone here and please be patient with the FNG! :) Anybody here from North Carolina?

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone. I know what you mean, pilotman, about not stopping at just one. I'm itching to go buy, but I 'm waiting until after Christmas to see what my wife gets me. Anyways, thanks again! :D

Welcome! Like you I discovered the 1:18 planes at Wal-Mart and was hooked almost immediately - if you haven't checked it out already, give BadCatAviation.com a look-see; lots of good stuff there and you can save a few $$$ by pre-ordering sometimes. Have fun!

Welcome aboard Cripes, and have fun here.

My daughter gave me a beautiful book for Christmas entitled "Flying Aces/ Aviation Art of World War II" by James H. Kitchens and Bernard C. Nalty. The book was actually produced by Barnes & Noble. It has a great collection of famous paintings by artists such as Taylor, Trudgian, Bailey and others. Also included is a full description of each scene and a brief history of the pilot(s) involved.

Anyways, just wanted to say hello and to wish you and your family a very great New Year.
