Anyone had dealings with
http://www.powerteamhq.com/ ?
I'm currently having issues with them, below is the last I heard, 2 Dec., (despite chasing it up) about an item I paid for back in November.
Please accept my apologies for the late reply. I had an emergency in my family
and had to drop everything. Your order will be going out no later than Friday
12/2. I will give you the final details of the freight and let you know.
I hope nothing bad happened to the guy, anyone know whats up with them? I'm not trying to burn the seller, just find out whats up, since emails are not being responded to.

He also runs GI Joe HQ. I've never had any problems with him in my transactions and he has always been very good at replying to my inquiries. He quit carry Power Team Elite products for a while because of the poor distribution service he was getting from them. He has since opened up the new website Power Team HQ to seperate it from GI Joe HQ. He probably not the problem, it might be that he is having problems with the company that makes and distributes Power Team Elite products.

i'm having problems too....i'm about to apply for a refund through Paypal tomorrow....
Six weeks ago i placed an order. A week later i had heard nothing, not even a confirmation email saying my order was rec'd so i emailed them and they said they knew nothing about my order. So i sent them the Paypal receipt i had and the response was 'oh yeah, now i see it...ok i'll ship soon.."
That was six weeks ago and i still have nothing. My option to apply for a Paypal refund expires in a couple of days so i'm going to apply for one. It never takes six weeks for anything to come from the US to Canada.
I would advise caution with future detailings with this guy/company.

For me this is a huge shame. I'd considered dealing with them but after this it appears that they're either shady, or just on hard times, but either way I'm having a tough time bringing myself to make a buy.
I would have loved to pick some things up from KB while they had them but at this point it appears everything I was pondering buying is gone. Even the Eversparkle playsets have disappeared that I wanted. Too bad.

But I was gonna get some PTE Tank sets for the tanks (for fodder) and the hedgehogs... The rest I was ready to donate basically... But after checking this thread out I'm definitely out on purchases for now... It's a shame because the PTE line is cool, but it seems like it just didn't get a lot of support and it's been handed off to a company maybe not prepared for the logistics of running the business.

any issues email
mike@lingg.com
i am not involved there anymore as they run things in a manner i dont like.
i have tried to put powerteam into a position where it can make money and offer great products but they do not seem to want to make the effort and frankly im tired of trying.
i do know any issues will get solved and product will be sent out but the time frame is a bit extended for some reason

well if it ever shows up i'll resend them the money but as i said my option to apply for a refund thru Paypal expires soon so i have to use it or lose it and to be honest, the customer service i've seen from them is so sloppy i don't trust that i'll get either my item or a refund unless i act.

Thanks for the input, glad I asked here. Actually, I'm still waiting to hear how much extra (in addition to the standard $5 shipping fee) that I need to pay before he sends it to NZ. After reading this, I sure won't be giving him any more dough, I'll just get back what I paid through PAYPAL, fortunately, it's not a large amount.
Again, thanks, this is useful info for everybody.

Are the Power Team Elite 1/18 vehicles based on the BBI moulds?
I have the PTE M1 Abrams which I picked up cheaply earlier this year, intending to customise, superdetail
and repaint it. Looking at pictures of the BBI Abrams (which I've never seen for sale here in the UK) the mouldings look
very, very similar.
Their Hummvee and AH-6 Littlebird also look similar to BBI's. Wish I'd picked up the Hummer at the same time as the Abrams, I've never seen one since.
nope

They look similar because the molds are both attempts at varying levels of accuracy, but they are very different. The bbi M1 is huge (to scale) and the bbi LB is a lot "tighter" than the PTE.

I'm sorry to heard the bad news on powerteamhq.com --- I've ordered a few times from gijoehq.com and always had very prompt, courteous service. My e-mail questions were responded to quickly; for one order they shipped the wrong accessory and promptly sent out the right one when notified.
So hopefully they've just hit some snags in the short-term with their powerteam site and will return to good service in the long-term.

Ditto. If you've had transactions with gijoehq.com, then you know it's not the owner that's the problem (he owns powerteamhq.com). It's just like Bad Cat and 21st. How many times has Bad Cat had a product from 21st up for order or shown that it will be available by a certain date and then it got pushed back by 21st either by distribution or production problems? I believe the same thing is happening here too, except there are bigger issues with communication between the seller and supplier. He's had the same problems with Hasbro on the new Direct To Consumer items.

i dont think so......i had emails saying my item was shipped to me. So if they're not thieves, they're liars. Either way i want nothing to do with them and just want to get my money back if i can.
Interestingly, i filed my claim with Paypal on Sunday and the seller has not responded to my claim. Usually sellers freak out when they get notified that a chargeback is pending and respond to the customer immediately. Maybe the powerteam boys are getting used to it?

Guys, I thought it had been made clear that GIJOE HQ and POWERTEAM HQ are now two separate, unrelated entities. So none of this discussion reflects on GIJOE HQ's good reputation. I have informed Mike Lingg when I asked for a refund, that his dealings are being discussed here; so he now has the opportunity to defend Powerteam HQ publically if he wants.
Maybe there is a good explanation, I am always in favour of giving the benefit of doubt to someone.

Guess I was wrong on the ownership

, I forgot to read BIGFAN's post again when I made my post. However, on the JoeCustoms.com website about two months ago there was a thread in relation to why PTE items were no longer being carried by GIJOEHQ.com. The response from Curtis was that he was tired of dealing with his supplier and low sales. Maybe this is where Mike fits in the picture. Orders weren't able to be filled for lack and availability of product and the makers of PTE don't seem to care as Curtis has stated in his previous post on this thread. I went to find the thread from JoeCustoms.com and post a link here so that you all could read how the new Powerteamhq.com came into being, but I couldn't find it. Maybe it was erased because of problems like yours. I do know that the reason he stopped carrying it at GIJOEHQ.com was because of low sales and poor product availability that delayed orders being sent out.
Regardless, GIJOEHQ.com has always been a great place to do business with from my experience.

I just got an email, out of the blue, from Mike Lingg:
"In conducting an audit of our shipments and payment receipts we have found that we have received money from you in our paypal account however we never received the order.
Please let us know what the order was for and we will ship it immediately. If not we will return your money at once.
We appologize for any inconvenience"
Interesting that he makes no mention of the Paypal claim i have filed...as if he isn't aware of it. Unless he is not monitoring his email or checking his Paypal account (which they apparently just did, according to is email) he would have to be aware of it.
Also interesting is that i had confirmation emails from them over the past seven weeks saying they found my order, that my item has been shipped and to be patient yadda yadda.
At this point i do not trust this company one bit. At the very least they are disorganized and sloppy and at worst they are crooked.

Wow, I got the refund back within about five minutes of sending the request, how's that?
Here's a copy of Mike's response

Whatever.

i am going to chime in here for the last time
mike is a good guy who tries his best to deal with the powerteam site.
this all stems from a bad deal with powerteamusa and thats why pthq is here today.
mike will not steal from anyone but he does have another fulltime job he does that takes up a lot of his time.
if you have a question email him with detailed specifics and he will usuaully get it handled.
aferguson im not sure what happened with your order as it was 1 of the last ones i was involved with. i got your info and what you ordered and forwarded it to mike numerous times.
out of my hands at that point
as far as pthq mike is an honest guy who has another job. so just have some patience if theres a glitch. he will make it right

I placed an order with Mike last week. On Friday Mike emailed me and told me my Desert Humvee was shipped. I got it today!! While the PTE Desert Humvee lacks some of the detail of bbi and 21C, with a little weathering-it's gonna look great!!! AND best of all-the figures can ACTUALLY FIT in the seats!! NO tearing the figures in half to do this!! Mike Lingg is a great guy to deal with!! I'm going back for MORE!!!
