Okay, the FOV King Tiger's Ardennes color scheme is good, but those weird big clown dots on the yellow color were bothering me, like an itch I can't scratch. I couldn't help myself so I repainted the whole thing.

Camo scheme is based on several actual photographs of Tiger 204, plus Bison decals color plates, and Tamiya camo guide.

Next up is a repainted Panzer IV J, Italy 1943, repainted BoB Panther, and a custom M4A3 Sherman 75mm tank. I tore apart a BBI and 21st Shermans, then combined their parts together.

Very nice paint job. Did you use an airbrush? Up until they did their 1:32 panther, the FOV German schemes seemed "cloudy" or too weathered. Again, very nice work.

Thanks for the kind words. I myself couldn't believe what an improvement a repaint can do. Even the numerous holes on the surface are barely noticeable without the blackwash highlighting them.

Krieglock: I did use an airbrush. I used Tamiya paints and its so fun! I didn't have a instance of clogged airbrush. Plus, since it's alcohol based, I just used regular rubbing alcohol as thinner. Still learning with an airbrush though, trying to perfect weathering with it.

Very nice!

Some great paintwork there.

I sold mine a few months back in part because of the paint scheme. I was unwilling to spend the time redoing it. I'm glad to see somebody did one of these right.

Now that is an impressive job of repainting.

FOV sometimes likes to put a light coat of a tan (I think) weathering paint. My 1/32 King Tiger had that overly-faded look, so I very lightly rubbed over it with a cotton swab and thinner to get most of it off. Looks 100% better now.
