This was posted in the Customs forum as well, but here is my attempt at an accurate Vietnam-era M-113A1.

I don't normally customize vehicles to this extent, but the M-113 was asking for it. The fact that it was the most widely-used armored vehicle during the Vietnam war and that 21c never quite gave it the proper treatment in 1:18 scale just didn't sit right with me.

This was originally a 21c 1:18 diecast M-113A3. I filled in the stowage holes on the sides, removed the external fuel tanks, added a few custom details, then gave a new coat of paint (inside and out) along with new decals and stowage. My goal is to make it closely resemble an M-113A1. It is still a work in progress and I have a few more additions to go on it - namely creating the MG and turret shields. Wish Pickelhaube still made his M-113 ACAV kit

Tman,
Look good so far!
I wish I had an extra Pickle M-113 ACAV kit to sell you, but I just have the one.

I tell ya. I hope to start making the molds for the Jagdtiger this weekend then I will be pouring the resin.

IF the molds are still good I can pour you a set for the M-113.

I will bump up my buy-sell- trade post so you can check the price.

If the molds are still viable I could use a set of the rear 60's and shields for the M-113. Thanks. Bob

That would be awesome, Pickel :D

I should have gotten that set back in the day, but for some reason didn't do it. I'm down for one!
