I saw that Monster at Wally in East Stroudsburg Pa this past weekend. That thing is Huge!!! But at $199.99 I cant afford it. Its to big to sneak in the house past the wife. They also had the 1/6th RC humv as well.

I agree. For the price you don't get that much detail, just a lot of plastic but it must be fun tooling that thing around with it's size!

I honestly can not belive that you guys are saying that!

$199 is nothing compared to the $1000 to $5000 1/6 tanks.....and the 1/16 usuallly sell for $150 or more.....so the money to me is not a problem.

In reguards to deatil, again , i cannot beli eve that you guys say that too!.....As i recall in my 41 years there has never been a better looking tank that size for the that amount of money.....

so Guys, I definetely do not agree with you guys this time....

Anyways, does anyone has any deatils about it?...has anyone bought it?
let mek now....

take care,
Happy Holidays!

i have the M5 Stuart and I have to say, it was a lot better than I expected!
the sounds, mobility and else is pretty good for $150.
Also the 1/6 Hummer, I have it too!....
it is cool because it is up to scale with 1/6 and it runs like a devil....but no figures fit inside....but again it is a most for a modern 1/6 diorama.

take care,

I saw this at Wal Mart, took a good long at it, then disgustedly shoved it back at the shelf. I've been waiting for this ever since I saw it in the 21st flyer. Sadly, IMHO, it's not worth the money.

That's the problem with big-scale model/toys. The bigger it is, the more glaring the problems in details are. If it's smaller, say 1/72 or 1/32...or even 1/18, you can generally hide, or disregard inaccuracies. But at this scale....way too many and too pronounced. I've listed some of the detail problems I've noted in a previous thread, so I'll not repeat it here.

It looks like a toy Abrams. Like that A-10 Warthog BBI made. Like something PTE might make (No offense to PTE collectors out there). Looks enough like its real-life counter-part, but still toy-like in quality.

And I don't get the price. Because of it's size? I saw RC cars at Wal Mart that was bigger than this at half the price.

What, exactly, would you like to know? I've had one for a while now. I will be using it to make a 1/6 PzIII R/C eventually. I don't have anything in 1/9, except a "Robin; Boy Wonder" from the 70s (Mego).

IMHO, it's almost too much toy. A huge beast. Of all the 1/6 R/C vehicles by 21st, it has the farthest range on the cannon.

For the money, it's going to be hard to beat this for scale/size and what you get. Try finding out what injection molded track links go for in 1/6 these days. And remember that an R/C car generally has one motor. An R/C tank has two of everything, as each side operates independently of the other. Two motors, two sets of tracks, etc. As far as anything bigger, I have yet to see that, and would welcome info on that.

It is almost a garantee that it will be broken or will break the first day you use it.

Very good news. Rolling Thunder Tech in CA (a 1/6 etailer) says they have been asked by 21C to look into what needs to be repaired or changed in the Abrams.

That is a good first step towards having one of these babies in all our "garages". I've delt with RTT and have found them to be quick and they sell the neatest stuff you ever saw. I think they will solve the problem. I hope, I hope, I hope :)

Rolling Thunder Tech uses the following link:

http://r-c-tanks.com/

Just the neatest stuff. I love the 21c Stuart he turned into a T8E1 Recon Stuart without the turret.
