I have noticed that over the last few customs I have don there is a steady decline in views of the video. This last video of the Panther I just finished has only 11 views. Are the videos the wrong way to present the work and I should just go back to photos only or is it just a steady decline in interest in the subject or scale?? Please share your honest opinions! Thanks

I like your customs videos as I find them interesting and informative and they have shown me what goes into making your models. i would like to see you continue doing them Jon.

As for me, much prefer clear, sharp photos over videos. I don't like waiting for videos to load, so I generally avoid looking at them

I enjoy the videos, always value photos for their immediacy. I think I missed the post for the Panther video or was too busy at work to have the time to see the post. Even though the videos are mostly still images, the panning and zooming does seem to help draw attention to a lot of the special details you've included.

A voice over accompanying the videos might enhance the audience experience, helping them connect further to your artistry. Allowing you to take them on a guided tour of a product roll out. I always seem to prefer product video reviews with commentary over silent reviews.

YouTube is owned by Google and search results are probably similar. It looks like you're creating effective titles, but if you're focused on reaching a larger audience, I would highly recommend embellishing with thorough descriptions. Using as many relevant keywords as possible can improve search rankings.

Jon, I like the videos, they're very well made as are your custom projects.
I think its more a lack members viewing the site, there are many MIA.
Many longtime members and newer, have moved on to other scales or hobbies.

Jon:

I think videos for customs are excellent as they show a person a progress of the work.

But given what someone said to you about photos, maybe I can add some input.

A friend and I cover airshows here in the Northeast. I have never been a video guy but he is. He posts and shares his work on Youtube. I do photos and share them on Flickr.

Maybe a compromise would be to do both a picture and a video format. A Flickr account is very reasonable and easy to use. You could then do the youtube videos as well to share the process.

You do very nice work and sharing it with everyone is certainly appreciated.

Corey

I like the recent video you made of Hitler angry at repaints.
I have look for videos on you tube of 1/18 ultimate soldier collections and in the last 4 years it shows just one where the camera rotates showing s few vehicles.
I wish there was more videos of collections and custom dioramas in 1/18
