I just picked up the Franklin mint Royal navy Corsair, I know wrong scale its 1/48. The question may already have been asked but who wouldn't love it in 1/18. "not another repaint!" at least its not blue!!

Actually a Brittish paint version does exist. It was the S2 paint scheme, it made its debut in TRU back in 2001. While not as popular as its tri color blue and dark brotheren it is nice to have another nationality in the mix. Someone from this board hooked me up with the brittish corsair I have now. (my first store bought sample became a "motorized prop / led navigation lights project" and now carries early war paint)

You can see a picture of the FAA Corsair here. Not the best shot, but you get the idea.....

Here is a pic of my custom (good) FAA Corsair II.
It was flown by Jim Paige from the HMS Invincible during 1944.

really nice job!
I'd definately go for any RAAF planes, my grandfather worked for the commonwealth aircraft factory on Sabres so I'd love one of those.
I'm thinking of doing a custom paint job on my F-18 from BBI
witha n RAAF anniversary paint scheme.
