Thanks for the intel.

I have not heard a word about these.

Hopefully they are not just selling in Europe.

Did anything become of the "American Beauty" repaint discussed about 18 months ago?

I would pick up that Man O War and Hun Hunter. Nice looking schemes.

Those are all really nice looking Mustangs :D

Clearly they are using the 21c "retooled" P-51 tooling and I'm glad to see that design get new life. Hopefully no bent props now.

I'd like to get one myself, but the problem is which one. The last one, "Easy" appears to be a Tuskegee Airmen plane (which would be great for those of us that never got the 21c version - or were stupid and took theirs back like me). Still, for me, its almost a toss-up with "American Beauty" or "Hun Hunter"

If my googling is giving me the true picture (a nebulous proposition), the cost is the equivalent of over $130 US...
Maybe I'll relent at a later date, but my initial reaction is "Nein, danke"... I got a zillion Mustangs already...

I'd be interested in one or two of those, even though I have enough P-51D's.

It would be nice if these were available from a US retailer for reasonable prices.

Maybe testing the German market where the economy is relatively stable?
The US economy is still a little better than the rest of Europe, and these are American planes. I don't get it.

If I remember correctly they were the only distributor of 21st Century Models over here. And I also think they "produced" those Boelke-Starfighters a couple of years ago.

I preordered one of each version, let´s when they show up....

That's cool. Now the big question: do I really need another 1:18 scale P-51? I have 3 21c retooled versions, 2 BBI versions, and my original 21c P-51. Within the past 18 months, I got rid of a couple other P-51s I had that I considered "extras". Still, these new repaints do look good.

Smalljoes.com just put these up for preorder as well. I'm tempted to buy one just for the novelty of another company's name on the box. Curious to see if they will improve the boxes like JSi did.

I'm increasingly tempted to get one of these as well. I have plenty of P-51s - and these are technically repaints of an existing tooling - but they are lively and interesting schemes and actually come with a figure :D

Greetings:

Interesting they have a pilot figure.

Still a pass from me too. Wish they had fixed the mold in regards to the landing gear as the tires are still way too thin. And there are more than enough Mustangs out there already

Think there is always room for more P-51 Mustangs. Even in 1/18.

Different liveries have various levels of appeal to collectors, both old and new.

Hope the new line does well, but I have enough myself. And in 1/32, 1/35, and 1/48 too. P-51 is second place in the number of examples I have of a particular aircraft.

Agreed Snake. They really picked a couple of good paint schemes which will definitley pull me in for an order of one or two.
