Hey Jesse, I seem to remember some pics from around 2011 of these figures.......
.....I think you posted them back then. I'd hoped these would show up, Russians and Americans
as well? Very cool, I'm in!

Re: OURWAR WW2 German on shelf Dec.13!
I'd not heard of the Americans but was pushing for them... Russians, I had heard about though, and it's my understanding they're kind of in line with the Germans (Barbarrosa look). I love 'em... Honestly they're incredible to me.
And they've been very open to ideas... I'd mentioned the Russians as, specifically, being the next popular choice among collectors, but I also mentioned that Americans always are popular in the States so to look into them as well. But yeah, I was very specific to mention Russians needed representation.
I'm hopeful their stuff does well... I'll buy the Aliens too, actually, as I have a little Star Wars/Aliens cross-over thing going on. I have the Hot Toys figs mixed into some Star Wars stuff. i just hope they do small stuff for them like eggs, facehuggers, and if this means they have a license for it, humans as well (AvP, Aliens, Alien, etc.).

Re: OURWAR WW2 German on shelf Dec.13!
I hope when they do the Russian set they can include a Russian tank crew man and Russian winter troops. There are plenty of Indiana Jones Russian lots on ebay like $2 a piece if you order a big lot of them,so i think the Russians may not sell as fast as the German set so my suggestion for our war is to make a 6 man allied set that will have 2 Russian,2 American and 2 British basic infantry army builder set. It will keep more interest that way.
Called it allied set wave one. On wave two allied set,do the same 2 of each country but different uniforms like all in winter uniforms or all in desert uniforms.

Re: OURWAR WW2 German on shelf Dec.13!
wha-wha-whaaaaaaat?!?!? Just when you think 1:18 is going one way, it bounces back and surprises you. 2014 could shape up to be nice - new Harrier, new FW-190, new 1:16 artillery, and now new sweet-looking WW2 figs!!!
And yes, Russians please! Aliens Colonial Marines would be perfection.
For WW2 US Army, they'll have to choose the right subject matter - I'm thinking a basic radioman, medic, and sniper have never been done, and a .30 cal gunner has barely been done. Maybe some more Rangers? Combat engineer planting explosives on a D-day hedgehog? Trying to think of things not already over-done. But maybe the older US WW2 figs (21C, BBI, FOV) are hard to come buy, and the basics would still sell?

Awesome stuff Melvin, as always. What's with the Aliens figures though? Is that a new license, and will it expand to humans, or just Alien characters?

Re: OURWAR WW2 German on shelf Dec.13!
I second that. I have always been amazed with the toy buying market in England, that not a single company has ever made some 1:18 ww2 Brits or a single Brit tank. The UK got an entire line of 3 3/4" Harry Potter Toys all to themselves. The Figures, Play Sets and accessories in that line put everything they put out here in the US to shame. But still no WW2 Brits, what gives?blitzhazed wrote:some brits would are a must as we have none

Re: OURWAR WW2 German on shelf Dec.13!
I know that for making figures making the molds are the most expensive part.
So to get the most out of the molds repaints can be done using the same molds.
The German uniforms had different colors like dot 44 camouflage worn by the Waffen SS and the splinter camouflage worn by the Wehrmacht. Also the desert afrika korps unifoms.
Than again it will be more better to make a set of six figures having basic infantry men.
Two Wehrmacht, two Waffen and two Afrika Korps in a set.

Re: OURWAR WW2 German on shelf Dec.13!
Well just about a month away.....
Melvin, do you have anymore information on these figures, price and availability?
Are they going to be sold in sets or individually?
I know I'm looking forward to their release.
