Was simply to good to be true. They planned a J-11 (Chinese Su-27), for sure they would also release a Russian blue camo Su-27. But now the project seems death with the current economic situation and the F-14 Spotcat did not brought the money they hoped, me thinks. ):
Hopefully it will still be made some day.

The "Spotcat" fiasco put any thoughts of an F-15, or Su 27 { J-11 } on hold.
And given the current economic conditions, really doubt we will see either of them anytime soon.

Yes the Spotted kitty did not Install any confidence! Most of us who are customizers could deal with a re-paint but some people said that it was to much to handle. I cannot imagine what they were charging to do a repaint? I am sure it was worth every penny but that on top of the cost of the jet.

You all think only in the context of the US market. The chinese market is quickly growing, making a chinese fighter more interesting. When I look at the cheaper stuff market, even with a nearly dead 1:18 market in the Westworld, PTE has made several models in the last years, typically inspirated by the material in use in the PLA: The Type 92 APC, a fast attack vehicle for the airborne troops, the Z-9 Harbin (a rebuilt of the french Aerospatiale Dolphin, used by the US Costguard). Guess that they will be sooner or later interested in more detailled models (remembering that the chinese Airforce also uses the Blackhawk S-70, rebuilts from the Humvee (also made by PTE, but for which market???). The 1:18 die-cast proves this growing market with many highly detailled jeep models from the PLA, all over 80$, so...

I believe that pic is from Toy Fair 2010.
Unlike the SU, they had a F-15 on the wall, and at one point on the table.
it's got to be in a better release position then the SU.
