Good find. My brother and a were discussing kettenkrads a few hours earlier and I was showing him grunt1's kett and VW stuff at Battleground Toys. I am actually building a kett right now and seeing one in action helps me determine how I want my result to turn out.

Seeing the 'wagens didn't hurt, either. Having a Type 82E show up would have been frosting.

Great :!: Love the sounds they make.
Recommend anyone who likes Schwimms, Kubels or Krads watch this.

Thanks for posting the link. :)

It seemed to me that the Scwimm's had a little more pep to them rolling with the Kubles.

Unless that one Kuble was a little "tired ".

I would imagine the Scwimms were a lot lighter ( they did need to float ) than the Kuble making them easier for off road use.

I had a buddy of mine who offered me his " original running " Kuble for $20,000.

Right after Katrina. At the time I had the money but passed.

Still not sure if I made the right decision.

I am broke now . If I would have gotten it , I would still be broke . But I would have had an original Kuble in my car port. :?
Kirk Douglas : Mine hit the ground first
John Wayne : Mine was taller

Great video! The comments mentioned that the first schwimmer was a replica due to the wheelbase. After re-watching it the wheelbase on that one is much larger. Thanks for sharing :D
