Thanks guys After being around the F-4 Phantom and F-22 Raptor a lot this end of Airshow season, I'm really hoping to see both in 1:18! LOT of people loved seeing the QF-4 Phantom II fly, and I mean a LOT of people. F-4 is a popular plane, and with the 'somewhat' comeback of it in the airshow season thanks to the US Air Force and the Collings Foundation.
The Collings foundation flies their F-4 Phantom at a few airshows, they usually will perform a demo. I saw that at Edwards AFB Airshow.
The US Air Force Weapons Test Squadron flies the two QF-4 Phantom II drones (the one in the photos). At any given time, those Phantoms can (and probably will) be pulled out of the airshow circuit and sent up to be destroyed in a missle test. Yup, that's right... the Air Force puts in about a million bucks to clean up, repaint, and refit the monthballed Phantoms to perfect flying status... then they blow them up with missile tests. So sad I hear there's a chance the many Tomcats might meet a smiliar end.

You know what Robin Olds in thinking in this picture, don't you?:
"Dammit, I'd rather be holding a 1:18 scale F-4 instead"
